Copied from a friend's Facebook page. He was ranting about a picture that he was tagged in that featured a female who is not his baby mama with whom he lives. It appeared that someone noticed that picture and "rantoldat" and probably caused some drama.

Regardless, here is a friend's post sympathizing with his plight...I think.

I actually heard from one of my younger friends that people are insulting each other when someone takes the time to write or text with correct spelling/grammar.

I'm starting to understand why the old hate the young.

I don't see anything wrong with people intentionally spelling incorrectly.

The written Irish language is a centuries long spelling gag on the English.

It isn't kids so much as the lesser human beings in general. Spelling and grammar was something your English teacher made you pay attention to, and everyone hates English teachers, right?

Some of us grew up and realized there was a purpose to proper spelling and grammar. Others never did. They never learned to read or write, and it was easier to hate those that could than to learn themselves. Unfortunately, it's much easier for stupid people to look cool - we value looks more then brains in general - so they hang around and influence common society.

Posts like this on my FB page from anyone who calls themselves a friend of mine would be quickly met with a response attempting to correct their grammar. Continued posting as such would then be blocked.

I correct my brother-in-law on his constant misuse of their\there\they're, your\you're, loose\lose and all the other typical mistakes that are so often strewn across FB.

I'm obviously regressing. I changed jobs, and for the first time since I was 18 I don't have a cell phone provided by work. (I have never paid a cell phone bill). I haven't had a cell phone for almost a month. Initially my excuse was that I was waiting for the new model to come out (there are several coming out soon), but now, I think I was just putting it off because not having a cell phone is **** awesome.
