Newt has no chance, way too much baggage to be taken seriously...but I love the way he responded to the biased moderators who can't seem to ask a question without framing it in the most accusatory, attacking way possible.

So what did everyone think? How many have decided on a candidate, who is it, and why?

Frankly, I don't like any of the candidates. I'm pretty happy with some of them on particular issues, but overall they suck. I'm pretty solidly conservative on a number of issues, but what I'm struggling with most is my views on the environment. I am a strong environmentalist and this conflicts with a lot of their platforms.

I hate to become a 1-issue voter, but I really cannot get excited by these folks.

I'm going with the left's strategy from last year. Anyone but Obama.

If I could get some kind of morph of Paul, Perry, Cain and Newt, I'd be happy.

Same thing I did last time, unless something drastic happens. Paul in the Primary, then bend over and take whatever luke warm moderate cold fish emerges from the pile over Obama.

Frankly though I'm more concerned of dealing with Obama's rubber stamp in the Senate, Sharrod Brown, and seeing what happens with my district. (Jordan for Senate! Jim, not Micheal)

Honestly, while Paul is totally ignored by the media, I'd guess this particular slight was more a problem of page coding than malice on the part of MSNBC.

Plus, it seems to be fixed now, as well as showing an even greater lead for Paul.

That's still a terrible graph, 'Skeee. 52% isn't even twice as long a bar as 16%...

Newt does something like that and I'm glad he's there. Then he'll do or say something completely idiotic though.

Whoever emerges out of Perry and Romney I suppose. I'd like a Paul Ryan or Christie in there, maybe as VP, but whatever.

Romney is pragmatic enough to be predictable. I like that Perry has some balls and is not backing down on the Social Security is a Ponzi scheme thing, because he's right and everyone knows it.

I actually like Huntsmans tax simplification plan, a lot, but beyond that eh.

Hop, I'm really hoping my Rep will run for Senate if the Republican Establishment makes good on their threat to ax our district for his insolence during the debt ceiling debate. It would serve the establishment right after that little bit of bull. If it were to come down to him vs. Brown, he'd have the credentials of not being a party shill, and Brown couldn't say the same.

reading threads here and other sites I have to wonder, why does anyone give a **** who the vice president is? A man with minimal power (can cast a deciding vote in the senate) other than that his job his to attend events in place of the president., IE: attend funerals
Biden has his opened mouth enough times that he most likely won't be on the ticket for the next election.
the last election everyone's attention got diverted to Palin not McPain.
The Vice president only comes in to play as a tie breaker in the senate, or the death of the President. very small concerns with the imbalance of power in the senate, and the level of security around the president.
Seriously the last VP to step into power was Ford, when Nixon resigned.
If a recall correctly Ford was the only elevated VP to win a reelection as president, again (IFRC: he was running against McGovern=fruit-loop)
