So I've been house hunting for almost a year now. Partly because I'm picky about the area, partly because I can't afford something too nice, partly because I don't want to live close to my parents, it has been a loonnnggggg road.

As of 20 minutes ago, I have just been told that my offer was accepted on a nice little 2 bedroom apartment. I now just have to go through the legal stuff and sign my life away sometime early next week.

I'm so excited that I'm hyper ventilating. It seems to make all the crap that has happened in my life over the last year seem worth it. Of course I understand the hard road I have ahead of me and am thankful I like the taste of instant noodles.

Here’s the linky…

If someone knows how to make it smaller for me please do so.

I’m so excited I don’t know what to do, running around the working parking lot is something I want to do. But I’m sure the security might not like a crazy woman doing so in a pharmaceutical plant/company. I’m also scared shitless on the idea of been shackled for the next 10 years. Whirlwind of emotions…

Wow and congratz, that looks nice. I know the Aussie dollar isn't quite what the US dollar is, but that still looks pricey. What do you mean shackled for ten years? Even our short loans here tend to be 15.

Well most loans here you can make extra repayments, and as the finances are working out, I'll be looking at around 10 years + some. Hopefully I'll get a pay rise in the mean time and be able to get it down to below 10 years.

Of course that could be side tracked if I decide to have a kid or two somewhere along the line... you know best laid plans of men and mice...

I recently de-shackled myself from a house. But I have really good reasons =)
Congrats! On the house. But you mentioned kids and I almost had a panic attack, lol! Enjoy and be happy!

Congratulations on your own place! As a bonus, we know where we can crash the next time we are in Homebush Bay area.

hehe thanks guys! I think the initial shock and excitement is starting to wear off and I'm finding myself panicing just thinking about the responsibilities and such...

Amdee I completely understand your panic about kids. The way I see it the top 3 decisions for me are 1) Kids, 2) Marriage and 3) buying a house. Only the first one comes a life time commitment guarantee. This is also kinda why I'm still not married and don't look forward to the prospect of doing so.

The offer is always there for anyone wanting to come to Sydney for a quick holiday. The offer also comes with free alcohol hehe...
