Yes it is. Its a Pontiac, and its a GTO according to the badging.

However, yes, you're right. Its a Holden Monaro (Australian car)that's been rebadged as a GTO. It is also sold in Europe as a Vauxhall VXR.

But that's just picking nits.

So, by way of an update.

I no longer have the GTO, due to financing issues. The initial bank did not want to do a 6 year loan due to the age of the car. This required a 5year loan, and it bumped the payments to $479 a month. We decided against doing the deal, and in addition, wrangled a sale of the Av to the dealership.

So, downside, no GTO. Upside, no car payments.
