Spoiler:
So I don't know if anyone watched this last night, but I have to say I was really disappointed. As far as I can tell the only thing that happened was the girl got lost and the boy got shot. The rest of the episode was pretty much pointless.

The girl disappearing was really annoying. It seemed like a lot of unnecessary stuff happened that made her disappearing possible. Why did he have to lead them so far into the woods just to bash their heads in? He couldn't have done that sooner or closer to the road. Did he really have to lead them so far away? They were just as far from him in the stream as they were when he finally killed them. I'm also going to be really pissed if they just leave her lost and never saying what happened.

I watched all of season 1 yesterday and I enjoyed it(first half much more than the second half, though) but I haven't caught the season 2 opener yet(didn't even know it was in the works until now). But yeah, thanks for the spoilers.

I checked it out when I got home from work. It felt like something was missing but other than that, I have no issues with it.

Spoiler tags only help if Lex doesn't quote the content.

It was an ok episode, felt more like setup for this season's main story line. At least there was more zombies and zombie killing than a lot of last season's episodes. Only things that really kind of bothered me were the girl's disappearance, and the boy getting shot. I've never read the graphic novel or whatever this was based on so I don't know if it was taken from that or not, but there were just so many things wrong with that final scene...

I've never read the comic, but I heard they took a pretty major departure from the comic almost right away.

I think much of my discontent comes from the fact that I just read World War Z, and it was so awesome that this was a bit of a let down.

I have kind of low expectations for this season. I was just happy this episode actually had zombie killing in it.

+ This+ I watched all of S1 on Sunday and Foamy got mad at me because I was watching Zombies and not killing them in Dead Island like he was- I agree Jhorra that S2 fell flat for me----
Spoiler:
I mean they spend the entire episode looking for the girl knowing she has been zombiefied by now. Get the Heck out of there and move on. Grab your water from that truck and move on with all your sharp edge weapons. I want to know what the doctor said to Rick at the end of S1 the most. That is what I was hoping to find out. Never happened.

Speaking of Rick--- I am his character in this Walking Dead Character Quiz.

Which she? Rick's wife, Lori, because that could be obvious with that it is Shane. However, Andrea was vomitting. HHHHMMM Stress or Pregnancy.

Spoiler:
If it was your kid that was missing in the woods with all the zombies running loose, would you be able to leave her behind? I know I couldn't. I might have to stay behind, and let everyone else leave, but there's no way I would be able to leave either of my kids behind like that, especially not knowing if she was alive/dead/zombified or not.

Other than that, the whole situation with her running away, and then leaving her hiding spot, as well as Rick leading the zombies so far away from her, was kinda dumb.

Awesome images of some of the stupid story points in that episode (obvious spoilers).

If I were to guess, I'd think those things happened because the scriptwriters wrote it that way, the director directed it that way, and the actors followed the director's instructions. Just a guess, mind you. :)

That's my expectation as well. There's been a lot of press about the writing problems with this show, I guess we'll see as season 2 progresses.

How can zombies that shuffle along and drag themselves about on broken/crooked feet...all of a sudden run like the wind when they get a whiff of a live person?

You would think you could at least out run the zombies..

Crocs don't limp around and act like they are zombies...they hide until it's time to attack!

How can horses stand around eating grass, but then gallop really quickly to get somewhere?
