It's tough to see what you're talking about with a step in the metal, but I think I follow you. Is it possible to shrink the diameter of the cog and still cover your entire nipple? That would lighten up the pasty, possibly while maintaining the adhesive surface.

Here's a pic of the back side of one so you can see what I mean with the step on it.

I really couldn't shrink it much more than what it is already, not enough to make a significant weight difference anyways.

You could also consider the use of a little spring-loaded clamp, which is how a lot of non-piercing body jewelry is attached.

Spring loaded clamp....for bedroom play maybe :p but definitly not for wearing for hours at a club, any spring loaded clamp that would hold tight enough to stay while dancing wouldn't be safe for that long, not to mention not comfortable and not really mechanically feasible for that matter.

How about a piece of foam glued to the inside?

What, to even out the surface to remove the step?

That's actually what I did use, though at least that carpet tape that I had didn't stick that well to skin, it was a pain however to get off the pasties after.

I don't know if it would work, but the stickiest double sided tape i've used is something I get at the wood working stores (Woodcraft sells it). They call it 'turner's tape'. It's strong enough to hold a wood blank on the end of a lathe or mill while its being cut. The more pressure it's applied with, the better it sticks...

I don't know how well it would stick to skin though, and it's going to be worse than the carpet tape for getting off of whatever it does stick too (perhaps including your skin).

Also remember, the problem with any adhesive and skin is going to be that if you don't get the skin relatively dry, the adhesive will stick to the skin oils and become unsticky.

Yes, you'd probably get better initial skin adhesion if you clean with rubbing alcohol first. But depending on how fast your skin secretes oils, it's definitely only temporary.

Double sided duct tape hurt like a ***** when I pulled it off last night, but it did hold really well for 4 hours.

Since when do boobs get oily? I can see face...but boobs?

Something you might also use if it's bonded really well with your skin.. Adhesive remover. We use these at work to remove all the sticky things we need to stick to your body when you are in the hospital, they work pretty good.

Well that's good to know it stuck well, sounds promising then :)

Yeah, mine don't get oily, really my issue especially around the nipple area sometimes is the skin gets overly dry and I have to use moisturizer, so I don't think that's why the carpet tape didn't stick well.

Yes. That and it would be a malleable surface that contours itself to the shape of your body. You could just squish the foam to get it to fit right. Whatever adhesive you're working with might stick to the foam better than it does to the copper, and then after wearing it you can just replace the foam. It may even make the pasty a little more comfortable to wear. I don't know whether or not that rivet scratches you.

I'll try that too then, with whichever adhesive I end up using :)

Nope, the rivets don't scratch, while it looks like it may be rough I took my dremel to it and removed any sharp bits and smoothed it up so it's not really rough, it didn't bother me all night when I wore them, of course there was also tape between the and me so that helped too i'm sure.

By the way Sassy, has anyone told you lately that you are a very attractive woman?
