Played some last night. Runs WAY better than it did in the beta. I couldn't even play Caspian Border but last night it ran great.

Still need to tweak a few things though. My biggest gripe is not being able to mess around in an empty server.

Ok, I bought the game.

Had to register, buy game, download game
Had to update my graphics drivers.
Had to set my graphics correctly
Had to figure out how the damn guns shoot so I don't die every time.

45 minutes later, it started being a ton of fun . I see long-term value in this.

I have been doing the single-player. The first missions are kind of intense.

Also, this game looks absolutely gorgeous on my computer on Ultra settings (v-sync on too). I love just running around.

It doesn't let up, either. The entire SP campaign is very intense. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

I was/am pretty surprised that my X6 1100T/GTX 560 can run it on ultra with no issues.

I've still got a GTS250 and I can do ok on medium. I think my bottleneck is the C2D. Needs dollars for upgrades...

The game is optimized for PC playing, although I agree it isn't too surprising for a GTX 560.

For those of you that love collecting weapons, don't ignore Co-op. There are 6-ish weapons that can only be obtained for use in MP, by unlocking them in the co-op mode. Quite a few people haven't realized this yet.

Plus, the second level of Co-op makes for a fantastic helicopter tutorial.

I was under the impression that, while my set-up was perfectly adequate, it wouldn't be able to perform as well as it does. Much like an X-Box or PS3 can run it perfectly adequately, they can't run it to as well as a PC is capable of running it.

By the way I think singleplayer is awful and multiplayer is amazing... just my opinion.

The single player was pretty terrible, the story was a rehash with characters that were not fleshed out at all. The realism was gripping though.

I wish they had a mode where 1 hit = 1 kill. I think it would make laggy servers more fun.

Have you tried hardcore mode?

Yes that's the only mode I play on, but people don't usually die in one hit unlike Call of Duty. So it's not ideal. It bothers me to no end when I get a good shot or two on people, but then they hide and later end up killing me. Battlefield 3 is great but I might switch back to Call of Duty when the next version comes out, because the hardcore mode is better.

In Call of Duty you can abush people and jump out and spray fire at close range and get three kills, and it's glorious. In Battlefield you won't hurt them enough.
