Grats to the Rangers and Cards on making it to the WS. Second in a row for Texas, and Cards back for their 22nd time trying to win their 11th WS title.

It doesn't promise to be a pitcher's duel type of series, as both teams have had struggles on the mound. The bats however, seem to be pretty hot. Could boast for some football scores on the board.

Shitty defensive struggle games. Like 6-3, or 7-6, or that gem of a 3-2 game ;)

I'll even grant ya 9-6 ;)

Going back to StL, Texas up 3 games to 2.

It's looking like unless the Cards can muster something, the Rangers are on their way to their first WS title.

6-3?! That's great, man, you called the score of your Seahawks game!

Man, I really hope St, Louis at least pulls out a win tomorrow night. I need a seven-game series (even though Game 7's are frequently kind of anti-climactic). Really don't want the Rangers to win, though.

Henceforth that is to be referred to as the game that shall not be mentioned...

Wow... That may well be the best game I've ever seen.

That was an incredible baseball game. Unfortunately, Fox's announcers are horrific. They managed to make what was one of the most epic 3 innings of baseball seem.. awkward...

And I think the post game show was worse...

In 6 games in the WS, the Cardinals have scored 32 points.

Through the first 6 weeks of the season, the Rams have scored 49. 56 if you go to 7 weeks.

The question then becomes... can the Cards put up 24 in game 7?

Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo are the best broadcast team in the business. If you ever get a chance to watch a NESN broadcast when the Red Sox play against one of your favorite teams, check it out. If you're a fan of the game, you'll fall in love.

If you are watching the game on TV, the best broadcaster is the mute button.

If you are listening to the game on the radio, then there is only one broadcaster......Vin Scully

Congratulations to the Texas Rangers, truly the second best team in baseball.

Big Puma gets his ring. I'm glad. He was the only guy I was pulling for in that whole series.

I will forever blame this loss on the Ranger pitchers. Why score runs if the pitchers are just gonna come out and let them tie the game in the bottom half...over and over.

If Nelson Cruz hadn't short armed that fly ball to right yesterday in the bottom of the 9th, the Rangers would be WS Champs. So he gets at least part of the blame.

Yeah, well, "most walks in a World Series to date" speaks for itself. So **** 'em.

I knew the game was over at the end of the first inning. Rangers get two runs in the top half, then Harrison comes out and walks Pujols, walks Beckman, then gives up a 2 run hit to Freese. It was all over then. Rangers offense did very little after that.
Rangers would have won (IMO) if Harrison had done something to protect the lead; instead, he handed the game to the Cardinals.

Definitely true, but the same could be said for a lot of games. Including at least one against the Cardinals... friggin Lee giving up a 4 run lead! :p

This World Series outcome puts a little different light on the whole Phillies still playing the Braves hard in the last 3 games of the series. A lot of Philly fans were saying to play a lot of backups and stuff, give your starting players a little rest, and if the Braves win then they get into the playoffs... instead of the Cardinals who were playing much much better than them. It definitely would've been in our best interests to do so, but this whole 'integrity' thing held sway... I say Charlie Manuel is due a bottle of champagne from the Cardinals organization as a thanks. :p

I don't have an answer for Texas, but it seems to me to come down to this for the pitchers:

1) Learn how to protect a lead
2) THROW STRIKES, for criminy's sake.

Maybe they need to re-think the pitching coach's position. I don't know.
