Let me know when you're coming over and I'll have a bowl full of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups ready for you.

I'm glad we bought lots of candy this year, we had at least double the number of kids we've had in the past few years.

Funny, we had fewer kids, I think. I talked my wife down from buying five extra bags, to just two (I had already bought stuff), and we ended up coming out with just a half-bowl left, maybe 30 Dum-Dums or whatever.

This wasn't my boy's first Halloween, but it was his first real go at Trick-or-Treating.

He started out the night saying "trick or treat" as he got to each door, but it turned into him just saying "candy" as they opened the door.

He didn't stand still for the pictures at home too well. I'll have to see if we have a good enough one to post.

Why the **** do we have a two-page thread about BAD "not-actually-peanut-butter" cups?

Seriously ... even Rynar is participating on the side of the BAD candy ...

Not at all. I'm just doing some vampire advocacy. Next I'll start flinging glitter around.

How about the ones I make myself that don't involve ... peanut butter "flavored" modified food starch?

Not to sidetrack here, but is there ANYTHING you aren't an elitist about?

I love peanut butter cups that have actual peanut butter in them. So, I make them myself using a chocolate recipe I got from a very nice and very old and extremely Southern woman named Granny. And they are fantastic in ways that Reese's cannot even comprehend.

Also, the peanut butter and chocolate should still be warm in the middle.

If I pass you a few bucks for S&H, can you send me some of your homemade peanut butter cups?

That is a shockingly rational explanation for the abomination that is cheesy apple pie.

I like cheese. I like apple pie. But some combinations just don't work.

For instance, I love Greek food. But I am a fan of "islander" Greek food. The difference between island Greek and mainland Greek food? Mainlanders put cinnamon on everything. Cinnamon on beef. Cinnamon on pasta. Cinnamon on potatoes. Everything.

It's just wrong. It's probably why the islander Greeks moved away from those freaks.

That's not been my experience, either on the "mainland" or on the islands. In Turkey, there was a bit more cinnamon used, but I have had experiences mirroring yours at Moroccan restaurants in the States.

Milky Ways are good. I like the fruity candies mostly. Sweettarts, Dots, Twizzlers. The stuff that gets stuck in your teeth
