Wife is in Chicago on a shopping trip with a friend, so I have the whole weekend to myself. So what have I done so far? Went to dinner at one of my favorite places last night that she doesn't like as much, some yard work today, going to do some cleaning around the house this evening and play some WOT. How boring is that.

Sounds about like what I do when my wife's not here- eat out or order in from somewhere she doesn't like, do some projects around the house, and watch movies/TV shows she doesn't usually like.

I'd say it's not boring so much as balanced- it means that you're getting to do stuff you like most of the time, instead of saving it all up for a big blow-out when she's away.

Same. It sounds about like what I'd do too, and neither of us is getting any younger. Congratulations on being past the wild partying of youth!

What could be nicer? I like doing things, but sometimes a nice, quiet, evening on the sofa with a fire and a good book or show on TV is the best thing in the world :)

Sounds like you are gonna have an awesome weekend!

Correct

Yes it is nice to have the place to myself, I can run around in my underwear and scratch myself (Oh wait I do that when she is here lol) It just seems like I should go out and do something wild but I guess the days of hookers and blow are over ;)

Disclamer: I have never done that stuff before anyway

Hmm, sounds about what I do most weekends, except WoW, not WoT.

We're older, We've done all the stupid foolish stuff. Unless there is something worth our time we take it easy. You're not pathetic.

If you were pathetic or worse at our age you would be working that second and third job to make ends meet having never bothered making a life for yourself and making it possible for you to relax and take it easy.

Thing is, I''m worried the next generation and those after them aren't going to have this luxury.

Enjoy it.

That's a bingo.

I had a weekend all to myself a couple of months ago. I LOVED it! Doing absoulutely nothing of value. Ate what and when I wanted, played WoW, did stuff I wanted to do or didn't do anything at all.

Wish I could have another weekend like that.
