I have had three cats in my life.

Growing up:
Pria - an Indian name that my mom heard and liked

Currently:
Lacey - I named her because she was so fond of playing with a shoelace we had for her when she was a kitten

Sully - Named after the monster in "Monsters Inc." for no good reason I can think of other than he is also furry.

Same thing except the cat named Pria.

When I was two my parents had a rottweiler named "charlie" However, he chewed many baby items and was giving to my dad's friend's farm.

:( Do I need to send your husband some literature on the health benefit statistics of being a pet-owner?

Doubt it would do any good, but thanks for the offer. :)

Hey Nitefox,

I find it very interesting that you started this thread because I am wondering if there is an underlying message? Do you really want to know our pet names or are you trying to show everyone, "Look I have two dogs, two cats, and two hamsters already, I don't need any more damn dogs even if they are tiny." My other thought was you posted this to prove to LadyKate that, "See only one pet or two pets at most." Well unless you are Arathain or Lenas who own freaking zoos. ;)

Nah, I'm not that sneaky. LK's thread wanting an ankle biter though was the springboard for starting this one with the added factor that my son naming his hamsters Quantavious and Bill made wonder if other people had funny names for their critters.

Foamy wanted to name one of the cats Zaphod and if we had a dog- "Damn it". This just so he could say- "SIT Damn it! & SPEAK Damn it."

2 cats at my apartment: Mio & Ranka.

5 Horses at the barn we board at:

Would I Command (Woody)
Tampson's Fleur-de-lis (Lily)
Franco (Don't know his registered name)
Spinner (Can't remember her registered name)
Shanowa's Masterpiece (Cameo) [Just got her, she's actually Lily's baby (16 years old, not an actual baby). Her names are stupid =(]

My parents also have 3 dogs:
Mike (Black Lab/Mastiff mix), Princess (Pomeranian/Papillon mix), and Ginger (Chiweenie, god that's dumb breed mix name).

They also have a ton of cats.

Hastur - cat, Russian Blue
Snarly - cat, weird tabby
Halo - cat, gigantic Norweigan Forest Cat (we didn't name this one, we got him from the shelter as an adult cat and didn't change his name)
Beans - cat, long hair tabby attention-whore
Shiva - dog, malamute (I'm not going to look up her official AKC pedigree name because it's stupid)

Timmit, it's a good thing you named a cat Hastur, and not a dog. There's no point in calling most cats, anyways, so you won't inadvertantly initiate the apocalypse.

Cats:

First set:
Genghis (best cat ever), Napoleon, Tempest, and Storm
Latest set:
Phoebe, Demi, Hades, Athena, and Persephone. Yes, there's a theme. Athena and Persephone were lost to coyotes.

Working on getting a dog. I've learned not to name fish.
