I think we're all missing the point. The far more interesting question (and the one this infographic was designed to illustrate) is, when you shave your beard, what path do you take through Beardland?

It's interesting, because they omit my path. I shave my cheeks first, but leave my sideburns, giving me a goatee with sideburns. Through much of college, this was what I actually wore. When not stopping there, though, I keep going to separate the mustache from the goatee, then I shave the mustache off first, then attack the chin from the outside in.

I rarely in my adult life have ditched the sideburns entirely. Trimming the length high is a nuisance, while leaving them ear-length gives me an easy reference point.

I dunno, I felt like I gave pretty exact migration routes :-P

I haven't gone south of Greenwood in over 8 years, so I don't know how I'd shave off the moustache and goatee- but I do one cheek at a time, clean cut in long vertical strips when I shave off the sideburns and neck and such.

Well this is me as of last week, still looks roughly the same. From here it's likely going through Higher and Lower Goatee and then maybe to the Souls and finally Whiskers End.

Yeah, 3 weeks into my post-Halloween regrowth, and I think it's safe to declare my beard restored. A week ago it looked respectable, but still decidedly "filling in."

Lord Doom lives north of the Untamed Wilds in the mountainous crags of Viking Metal Beard to go with his epic hair.

I would have figured you for the straight razor type.

My father's father's father bought my straight-razor in Solingen in the early 1880s.
