Ok well if you didn't know I guess this will be my official post, Foamy and I are having our second child. I am 4 months now and by Christmas break we will know what we are having. This is why I am here though to talk about names. We are having the hardest time coming up with boy names in case it is a boy.

So far we like

Eric Charles
Charles Xavier
Logan _________

OK, so we have an "X" theme I know, but I love those names and we are just having such a hard time.

Duncan was a consideration also.

I just am baby named out, so if anyone can come up with a list hopefully Foamy and I can agree on something.

I like Charles Xavier, because I bet you could make a pretty cool signature with that.

Congratulations! Oh, wait...

Heard on the radio this morning that Babycenter.com released it's top ten popular baby names for the past year

1. Aiden
2. Jackson
3. Mason
4. Liam
5. Jacob
6. Jaden
7. Ethan
8. Noah
9. Lucas
10. Logan

Logan is the only one that I kinda sorta like, but I really haven't heard any others that I can tolerate saying over and over and over again for the forseeable future.

For the record, I am convinced that this next child is a girl. We'll know for sure hopefully shortly after Xmas, but I wanted to state what my prediction was. If that is the case, we are set because we have about 4 girl names lined up that we both like.

If it is a girl, it will be Cecelia Angelina. The middle name is a tribute to my grandmother who I didn't have a good relationship with because of my mother. It's a little thing I can do, but it means a lot to me.

Funny, I was wondering if I was spelling it right as I typed it. Good, I like you spelling better anyway.

Congrats! Names are so hard. Boys especially, we had/have the same issue.

I like Eric Charles.

Part of it depends, to me, on what the last name will be. Not that I expect you to blab that all over the web, but, try to think of it in terms of what goes well with that.

After we named our daughter, I realized that her name has two syllables, like my wife's, and ends in the same sound as hers. For my son ... three syllables, like mine, same sound at the end. It's nothing that anyone will ever notice, I don't think, since the names are really different. But it might help you see what you like in the names you already are leaning toward, and help you go from there.

Two of the names that I like (Derek and Eric) both end in hard C sounds and our last name starts with the same.

Can't knowingly pick a name as such even if I like the name.

That's just grounds for losing custody to people with common sense.

Nicholas Cage named his son Kal-el....

Gwyneth Paltrow named her daughter Apple...

Angelina Jolie has Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne...

Lets not forget Jason Lee's son Pilot Inspektor...

And you think Charles Xavier is bad. Do you know how small of a percentage of people would even get it? My son's first and middle name is Sean Michael and I haven't heard a single wresting reference since my coworkers at my old job picked up on it.

Highly unlikely for Charles Xavier anyway, though I really do like the sound of it.

It's your kid; name him what you two want to name him; I'm just an advocate for the kid's eventual feelings on the matter.

And your argument is that those people have sanity and common sense?

Charles is my grandfather's name. That is why we will name him Charles not for an X-man really. I don't know any good middles to go with Charles.

There could be worse names, like all that Foamy named or how about -"Shithead" Pronounced 'Shi-theed' couldn't believe when i heard that one.
