So, you're saying the BlackBerry is, like, a Grandpa phone? Crap, my kids aren't even old enough to have kids yet ...

Yup, there are 3 reasons to have a blackberry.

1) It's free from work.

2)......

One. There is one reason to have a blackberry.

I guess. When I got laid off and had to turn in my BB and (*gasp!*) get my own phone, I ended up with a BlackBerry. I guess mainly out of familiarity, and a sense of "works well enough for me." Guess I'm officially slipping over the age/not cool barrier.

Yep!

P.S. I just got my Galaxy S II in the mail. Any of you guys have some MUST HAVE apps? I've already gotten the usual suspects (netflix, kindle, everything google).

iPhone 4. I've had it for a year and a half now. Had the original iPhone for 2 years before that. I also have a first gen iPad. I'm really, really liking the new iOS 5. WiFi sync and iCloud have been very nice, so far.

That said, I'm not completely stuck on Apple products. I can see myself getting an Android or a new Windows phone in the future, unless a future version of the iPhone just completely blows me away. I will, however, have to stick with AT&T for the forseeable future, as I don't get good enough coverage with any other carrier here at home. Even AT&T only gets 1 bar here, but they were nice enough to send me a MicroCell 3G tower for free, since I'm such a loyal customer, heh.

Oh come on. Blackberry is less than a decade old. They've been sucking *** that entire time, and they still do.

Nevermind me. I'm the lone person on the poll above that doesn't have a mobile phone at all.

It's a shackle with a large weight attached that also causes people to become a little bit dumber. Don't feel bad.

"What's your best friend's phone number?"
"Ummm... Let me look it up!"

So many people would have a conniption if they lost their phone and/or the data it contained.

I think you're confusing mobile phone and smart phone, Numbuk.

I've got a 7 year old Nokia mobile phone that works great- I get a week of battery life, it's solid like a little tank, the keys are big enough to easily hit, and it gets good reception. It's also got a green and black display.

And that's about it. It's handy to temporarily store numbers that I won't need to know long term, but no more so than a piece of paper.

My wife's phone is a bit newer... It's actually got a *color* screen.

They're solid enough that we don't need a landline, and since neither of us have an office phone, they're nice to have. I also don't think I'd want to drive cross country as much as we do without some sort of cell phone anymore.

Heck, I miss the days of bag phones- those things got great reception, and were really comfortable to talk on. I've still got one that I wish I could use more.

You'll all change your minds when you use your phone to go shopping.

Ditto. I've been synching my phone with my PC since 2002 (HTC brick)

About friggin' time. Finally got the Galaxy Nexus, which I've been waiting for since the summer. It only took Verizon forever to release it.

iOS (3GS) here but trying to figure out if I wait for the Galaxy Nexus on ATT or just bite it and go with the Skyrocket.
