I would have to go with a little of both as well.

I think it's a horrible description of geek about ten years ago, but it's a decent description of what people are trying to make geek mean today. It's still not to the quasi-hipster that the chart describes though.

I'm pretty much Nerd, unfortunately. Just not the "Nerd Talk" part. But, yeah, right down to professions.

I'm one of those who would prefer to be called Geek, if anything.

Once again, the ridiculous notion that owning a Mac over a PC makes one trendy or hip (or in this case, even socially capable) rears its ugly head.

Preferring a Mac simply proves you bought into a marketing campaign to convince you to pay 3x the price for half the performance and functionality.
