Spoiler:
Is it just me or does all of "The Truth" videos look like they're from a 70's movie or something?

Granted, I haven't gotten them all yet, but still.

Just got to Forli and have been doing some viewpoints there, and bought treasure maps.

I've been trying to get most of the treasure and other stuff, and I can't renovate my villa any more than I have. So it's paintings and equipment at this point.

There's really no point in getting all the treasures. You'll be getting so much money from your villa every 20 minutes that you're going to end the game with 300k+ florins.

I suppose, but there isn't even an achievement for it.

I'm just now playing the 1st Assassin's Creed. I just took out the book burning guy. Do you get something for performing a clean assassination?

I always end up chasing the guy down or something as well. Though in this last one it was clean until the very end. You have to kill about 5 of them before you get to the real one. I managed to just climb down the ladder, slash their throat, and move on without any alarm, until I killed the last one, the main guy, and the guards chased me for a while.

Aeg: in the 1st AC, I'm not even sure that any other than maybe one target is even possible to kill silently. I think you really have to fight them all. I could be wrong, but I tried for the first several targets and eventually gave up, because some of them are just impossible to sneak pass all the guards. YMMV.

They really came through for AC2. It has it's niggling bits, but what doesnt? I enjoyed AC1, but it felt like a small amount of tweaking would have made it so much better. I was unsatisfied that all the plot assasinations were always battles with guards and the target. You can actually be sneaky to kill the plot targets now generally. The side quests are much better, they're actually fun. No huge countryside you have to ride trough every time. The plot missions are better put together overall as well. Missions will build up to you and your allies' preparations before the Big Fat Kill. I'm in Venice now and haven't finished it, but so far it's been worth it for sure. I imagine the overall plot reveal is going to let me down, because the mystery is usually more intriguing than the resolution, but it'll be a fun trip.

Ok, so The Truth glyph I got last night had me stumped. I stared at it for like 20 minutes, got my clue that didn't help, didn't get it right, and went to bed... annoying.

Well, just finished the first Assassin's Creed. Interesting "ending". It sort of just ended abruptly.

Uh, it was one of those "align the decoder" ones, and all my choices are weird triangles and whatnot. The clue is that I'm supposed to count something on the figures. I might just [cheat] look it up.

The numbers correspond to
Spoiler:
the amount of corners on each shape.

See I thought that might be it, but then I lined it up and it didn't take...

Your only clues are a "<" and a faint 4. Line them up, and you get the hourglass shape for the 9, and you have to figure out the blank space shapes for the 1 and 7.

I found it to be the hardest glyph puzzle. You're almost there, though.

Wait, how does "<" have that many [thingies I'm supposed to count]?

Also, the 4 looked like an 8 to me, so I tried that and it obviously didn't work...

Hint: there is a logic to the progression of the symbols which will help you fill in the missing ones, once you have the rings lined-up correctly.

edit: lol nm, I missed Lenas' hint earlier

This may be giving too much away for that puzzle, but a way to look at it. (Spoilered in case you don't want it nearly outright solved for you).

Spoiler:
The blanks should be the number of corners between the ones beside it.

And because that sentence probably makes no sense...

If you see on the wheel a shape with 7 sharp corners, and one with 9 corners...the blank in between is one with 8 corners.

The 4 and the < line up. From there, the symbols increase in shape by the number of hard angles. Using this knowledge, fill in the blanks that are now over the 1 and 7.

You can do most, if not all of them silently. You do have to be basically spot on for a few of them though, they're pretty difficult to pull off for the most part.

Been hearing really good things about the sequel, so I'll be picking it up eventually here. Was really disappointed in the repetativeness of the first, though I did get all the achieve's for it, so there was lots of flag collecting tedium.

Sounds like the second is a vast improvement on the first though.

So, I was at my brother's house the other day and he let me play. I didn't like it any more than the first one. And I found some parts of it just retarded. I could walk up to someone and hit X to instantly kill them. In the daytime. Everyone just kinda stood around and did nothing(even though they could clearly see it happen, it's not like this was subtle or anything) and his buddies kept walking along like nothing happened. WTF?
