ME2 also didn't have that shaky **** when you whipped out the sniper rifle.

ME1 doesn't either if you have a high enough sniper rifle skill. Which makes sense...the better you get at using a sniper rifle, the easier it will be to use.

Do you have any idea how patently ridiculous it was trying to play a Sniper in ME1?

Ridiculous good, or ridiculous bad? Because I did make a pretty good sniper in ME1, after you get over the early shakyhand hump.

I just have that feeling that, one day, when I actually dive fully into ME1 and ME2 I will thoroughly enjoy myself. I have both of them and have played ME1 only about a few hours. I know I am missing out, but so much other gaming has gotten in the way of really immersing myself in them.

I may actually ask Oonagh to hide all my other Xbox360 games while I make my way through these.

They are some excellent epic hours of gaming, except for ME1's forever elevator rides (to cover load times).

Reloaded my old sniper who was on Ilos, saved back in 2008. Figured I'd stick with infiltrator since folks here said it gets better in ME2. Beat the game and started ME2, importing the infiltrator.

He's fully maxed out in Sniper Rifles. He's level 42. Has a 336 or so damage sniper rifle. Top mods. And yes he still wobbles for a second or two when pulling out the gun if your'e standing up (and slightly when crouching).

Huge, huge difference in ME2 when pulling out a sniper rifle at level 2 compared to my level 42 in ME1. It's like ME2's Shepherd has a grip and nerves of iron. I also like that my headshots actually mean something (extra damage in ME2... headshots didn't count for crap in ME1).

Not sure what they changed, but combat is far more fun and effective now as a sniper than it was in ME1.

Though I'm sure how I feel about having to reload though, and limited shots. Feels like a step backwards in tech, especially after re-hearing the whole gun tech spiel from the Codex Guy in ME1. But, since everything else is improved, I'll live with it.

Edit: Oh and I cheered out loud when the Mako crashes and lands upside-down at the end of the game. I hated that thing and will not miss it in ME2. That thing handled like an inner tube.

If you are playing the PC version, that is fixable. Just do a google search for Unlimited ammo. Or you can start out with this page.

I warn you, though. You may want to change it back, because a sniper in ME2 with unlimited ammo is really too powerful. It makes much of the game far too easy. Especially once you get the M-98 Widow. That gun is ridiculous.

The ammo thing doesn't make sense in a in world explanation. But when I'm actually playing the game, I don't even notice as I never run out of ammo anyway so it doesn't matter. The only thing that annoys me is when I use a single shot sniper rifle(Widow or Mantis, the only two sniper rifles worth using) and I fire off a shot, then use a power, I interrupt my reload. So, say I use cloak right after firing off a shot, I go to shoot again but, oops. I never reloaded because cloak interrupted it and now cloak has been wasted.

This is the one thing that I hated the most about the game. I hated that I had to look for "ammo" packs on the ground that couldn't always bee seen easily. I wanted my sniper rifle tech back from the first game. Sure it was slow, and it overheated after every single round, but by gum, I could sit in the rafters and slay everything I wanted to.

If it was me, I would have a sack of those bloody coolant things on my belt, my team's belts, and in a wagon behind me. I mean, they weren't that big...

Also, blurg. Multiplayer. Please god don't let it affect the real game at all.

Nope, no PC version. Or else I wouldn't have made any comments about how my aiming sucks. :D

And great video, Lenas. Keith "Goliath" David definitely has one the best voices for voice acting. Plus he makes a great crazy person. "Back in Fubai, he would have been killed the second he knocked on that door. I would have snapped his neck like a twig. And he never would have seen it coming, either."

Well, Mr. Ogre ...

I've been trying to avoid breaking this to you, because I fear gentle just isn't in my vocabulary, but ...

Your aiming sucks on PC these days, too. Your eyes are gettin' old; you're reflexes are gettin' dull; and you ain't Spen.

Heh. Well, you're right about getting older. But age hasn't affected my reflexes and aim just yet!

I can't do 18 hour marathon FPS sessions as I did in my teens. My joints and muscles don't last quite last that long before they need a break. But I can still easily be good to go for 6 -10 hour spurts.

Spoiler:
Ok, that's the first time an ME game made me crack up out loud. Doing Tali's quest and talking to the ******* admiral who doesn't like her. How his name is Vas (from) "Quib Quib." When asked why he doesn't transfer to another ship with a better name, he mentions he entertained the idea of transferring to a ship with a more respectable name, like the "Defrahnz" or the "Iktomi."

I got the joke immediately and laughed out loud.

I'm wondering if the Iktomi doesn't get re-named at point.

Of the two, the "Defrahnz" is what really made me spit up my coke zero. :D

"Iktomi" is a rather significant Native American deity.

Full script for ME3 was leaked apparently. I read a couple of spoilers by accident and know who all of the permanent squad members are. Only 7 this time around. 6 if you don't have the DLC character. Funny thing about the DLC character...collector's edition and Digital Deluxe version get the DLC character for free. I don't know it it is exclusive or not, though. Could be like Sebastian was in DA2. Most likely like Sebastian. All of the other editions of ME3 say nothing about the DLC character.

Unless there are some unlocks, I'm pretty sure I'm going to skip the demo so I don't spoil anything.

I would have enjoyed that trailer more if it was male Shepard.
