Anyone else who finds themselves in that situation, and is comfortable saying so, can do the same if they wish, or not. I'm not interested in PMing everyone on the board to ask them if they are sick, as I'm really not interested in prying into the intimacies of peoples personal medical history. I believe that would be the height of rudeness, where as asking publicly if anyone wishes to share something is far less intrusive. YMMV.

I am not terminally ill but I deal with a disease that has the potential to develop into malignant cancer which inflicts a critical organ. We're talking about a bucket list here, something that deals with the very nature of life and death, and so I account for that, not as a matter of trying to get sympathy, but as a matter of strategy. It's very simple. The way modern society has developed says you work then retire and spend money. If there is an increased probability that I do not live to meet retirement, either by 35 years or 1 year, I have to be prepared to go do as much as that as I can. I am currently trying to mitigate that by accomplishing some of that stuff in advance, but again, in order to make myself the means to have a sound financial retirement, I have to (ironically) forgo much of that in the present.

I appriciate your willingness to share that, Raf. Contemplating that certainly puts a lot of things into a very different perspective.

Honestly, if I die (from anything) much past 40, I won't be that sad since my athleticism will have shriveled up about 50% by then and I can't do all the stuff I love anyway. So things are actually looking quite good!

Personal - Live a happy, peaceful, simple life.
Professional - Work hard, so as to set my family up to be financially comfortable.

My bucket list includes playing all of the video games that interest me as they come out. I don't want to have a family and I don't want to travel anywhere. I just want to play video games. **** all of you that are judging me right now.

Not a topic I've put much thought into

So for right now I'll put few things on thing on the list
1 A ride on the Vomit comet.
2 see my daughter achieve her goals and dreams.

Hack Raltar's account and change his avatar.

I actually have a list somewhere, but I can't put my finger on it. It has things like ride a hot air balloon, make it to the base of Mt. Everest, that sort of thing. But it's turning out to be something along these lines, though. I think of it as raising two kids who will not contribute to raising the ******* quotient of the world.

Oh, and, having a threesome. I'm pretty sure that's on most (guys') lists, at least on the private one they keep in their heads. :)

Hah, funny. I have no idea who "Lawrence" is, though.

And, not that I think it's a good idea, in the flesh, so to speak.

Ahh, Yes the one thing I want on my list.

Almost happened to me but my best girlfriend had to be a prude, and stop the encounter. Also, my husband and anyone else (male) would be nice. ;)

Couldn't you just go do that right now? (assuming you are at home, not work of course)

*the 1-way, not the Dubai sky-dive, that is.
