Nothing he said gives reason as to why I should like Star Wars in the first place.

KotOR was good enough reason to like star wars.

That said, anyone who didn't like the original trilogy way back then is just being contrary.

All three of the movies were out before I was even alive. I've never been a big fan.


As Khross is always so quick to point out, no game, regardless of how good it is, can overshadow lore (or writing) that you don't care for.

So, I bought the Digital Deluxe version of this from Amazon. I downloaded it tonight and the installer installed something called 'Origin' on my PC.

What the hell is this ? and do I need it to play this game? I just want to install the game, not a bunch of sales promotion crap...

Just figured I'd pop in and say "what up." I grabbed a copy along with a Kinect last night. Look me up on XBL as Screeling1 so we can take the fight to the Reapers. Digging it so far, although my wife keeps giving me weird looks for talking to the TV. Saying the lines on the conversation wheel gives a better sense of immersion into Shep's role (at least for now, while it's new). Feels weird playing this game on a controller though.

And Raltar, you came close to shedding tears because you're a girl, not because the game was poignant...

Apparently, due to the availability of gay romance options for Shepard, Metacritic has been targeted by some religious/political organization to "bomb" the game's user rating. It's receiving an astounding number of "0" reviews all commenting on the gay content, to contrast the 10's it's receiving from legitimate reviewers. It's averaging 4.8 on the user reviews as a consequence.

From what I've seen, Mass Effect 3 has worse gay-romance scenes than instructional video from Westboro Baptist Church. They're just horrible.

Cloak rank 6 that allows power use without breaking invis + Operational Mastery far enough to get sniper slow down. Cloak, incinerate some fools and headshot while they're screaming like *****? Yes please. Equip only two weapons and you'll be able to cloak again right after a reload of the Widow.

So has anyone else run into the issue importing your ME2 save? "Mass Effect 3 cannot determine the custom face code used by your imported save game, please update your characters appearance." And then it wants me to recreate from scratch.

Bummer, I liked my shep from ME1 and 2, made it feel like a real epic. Apparently Bioware knows about the issue and is working on a fix. The hilarious part is the screaming on their forums. I WILL NOT PLAY THIS GAME UNLESS I CAN HAVE MY SHEPARD, I AM NEVER BUYING BIOWARE AGAIN, ETC ETC ETC. Heck, most series don't even give you the option to import.

Yeah it's a common issue. I couldn't import my Shep face but didn't want to bother recreating it, either, so I didn't really care. I imagine it's due to engine tweaking and cross-platform changes that make the facial codes no longer valid.

Ok, I played it off, but once I started playing, it actually sucks big time. I attempted to recreate my character, but you're right, the character designs are drastically different. Honestly, it's like they hired another actor 3 films into the series to replace the main character, very distracting. I ended up creating a FemShep to play with now, until they get a patch out.
