So....thoughts on 129? Biggest UFC fight in history! The crowd was pretty wild.

That Hominick and Aldo fight was amazing. Probably one of the most entertaining fights I've seen ever. Aldo looked pretty gassed in round 2 but he kept it up, props to him.

GSP is so talented but he isn't exactly the most exciting fighter to watch. He always seems to apologize to the fans after bouts about not knocking someone out hehe.

And Machida's kick was incredible!

Dos Santos absolutely clobbered Velasquez with one punch, overhand right connected behind the ear. 1:04 of the first round.

I can't help but think that's not quite how they wanted their hugely hyped network premiere to go.

Yea, no idea what they were thinking.

"Gee, we have two lightweights who have ridiculous pace and ability to deliver a high-action, crowd-pleasing bout (which eventually would take Fight of the Night bonus money) as the co-main event to determine the number one contender but we aren't going to broadcast it on Fox and instead, show a promo hyping up a fight in a sport where shockingly quick and violent finishes are commonplace and in a division where those shockingly quick and violent finishes are most likely to take place."

It's not like the UFC wanted only one fight, they were limited to one fight. Also, heavyweight is usually where the big punches get thrown and [Dana White] would MUCH rather have this important fight end in round one, than to end in round five with a decision.

Actually, Fox Deportes and international affiliates aired the Henderson vs. Guida fight and as is the case for early main event finishes on all UFC cards, they showcased other fights which were placed on deck in waiting for exactly that scenario; in this case, they showed Porier vs. Garza.

Little bit late but there have been so many big bouts with title implications lately. It's been quite a good time to be a fan. Also, Jose Aldo defeats Chad Mendes by knockout, round 1 @ 142 headlining the Rio card. This little compilation was put together by Camila Rizzo, wife of legendary Pedro Rizzo. It really captures the emotion of one of the greatest cards ever put together and shows how the Brazilian people are so passionate and prideful:

For everything Pee Wee has in physical gifts, he lacks in ... not dedication. Like in octagon focus. He was clowning around about as bad as Mittrione before John OE almost knocked him out. I kind of like Stefan Struve. The kid has a severely underrated guard game but he's a bit awkward on the feet, to say the least.

Rousey took Miesha Tate's title in dominant form. That first armlock looked absolutely killer but that second one was disgusting. Her arm was on backwards. The more I look at Rousey, the more I do think she is attractive. She could be a big face in Women's MMA. Is she Gina Carano? No. But she's a helluva athlete in her own right and has a personality that definite draws attention.

Her armbar was amazing but the entire time those women were standing on their feet, I couldn't do anything but think of how **** sloppy their strikes were. If Ronda can get her striking to an appropriate level for a UFC fighter (esp. a champion), she could be very dominant. They were both just flailing around like some chicks in a drunken sidewalk brawl before it went to the ground (also like a sidewalk brawl :p).
