Well, since it's going to be a girl we couldn't go with Boutros Boutros-Ghali. Anyway, I thought you liked Gorbachevette more.

And here I thought Osamaleen had a shot, though I never thought Idiamina sounded all that great.

You gotta admit Oonagh, Stalina Ilyich has a nice ring to it.

It began with a conversation with Elmo...
(yes, I know. There's your problem.)

He inquired as to the baby's due date and I informed him that, barring early labor, the scheduled C-section is for May 1st. He informed me that it is May Day, which he somehow linked to communism and asked if the name will be Stalina? I expounded on this playing on the Russian theme, and it just ballooned from there.

If you know Elmo, this is nothing out of the ordinary. I've just gotten more used to it than most.

May 1 is International Worker's Day, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internatio ... ers%27_Day

as well as being the ancient festival of Beltane. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beltane

They just happen to fall on the same day, I doubt anyone seriously tried to link them.

Very common knowledge Talya, I'm surprised you even commented on it.

Never heard of "International Workers Day."

Seems the only place in Canada May 1st gets any labour protests is in Quebec, and the rest of Canada tries to ignore Quebec as much as possible.

Well in that case Shae is a name for a girl or a boy. Also there was a girl in my graduating class named Fidelia.
Since we don't want to leave the Cubans out of this.

Or do we?
