If anyone takes that seriously, they deserve to get their hopes and dreams crushed. Because it's from 4chan.

Very wierd.

That didn't seem weird at all to me...I just figured that for the kid that Shepard sees and tries to save, watches him die, and has resulting nightmares after.

The fact that the image of the kid is used to communicate later suggests something is in his head then (but still may not mean anything), but the kid's presence at the beginning isn't out of place.

The kid being there explains how he's inside the vent once you go through that door. He probably runs inside when all the husks start crawling up the building, right over the rail he's standing against.

Not getting my hopes up, but 4chan has had some legit spoilers before and it does fall in line with some of the cryptic Twitter updates.

If you watch the entire scene those screen shots are from, the kid runs across the balcony and into the vent.

I'm still on my first play through of this. But after reading the suggestion that this could all be some form of Shepherd-vision induced by the Elusive man or someone else, it isn't totally out of the realm of possability. Viewed in that light a large number of scenes could be viewed as foreshadowing.

Elusive Man's obsession with indoctrination (during the mission you evacuate Jacob) jumps to mind, but I recall there were others, including Miranda's confession that she suggested putting a control chip in Shepherd (and that totally against character, the Elusive Man refused), and Ashely's repeated statements that she thinks the Elusive Man/Cerberus is controlling Shepherd.

1) Illusive
2) Indoctrination theories don't encompass the whole game
3) You shouldn't be here until you see the last 10 minutes of the game because you're missing a ton of context

I'll say it again, the prothean VI from Thessia can detect indoctrination. Indoctrination happens rather slowly unless you are turned into a husk. VI could not detect indoctrination on Shepard. He is not indoctrinated by the Reapers.

The Catalyst takes the form the of the child because Shepard has PTSD and it is at the front of his mind(as proven by the nightmares he has throughout the game and the fact he is clearly crumbling under the pressure towards the end).

That VI scene doesn't break the theory.

The codex states that the Reapers use indoctrination slowly on purpose to increase the longevity of the effect. It also says it can be forced on someone much stronger and faster. Becoming a husk is the end-stage of indoctrination, when the target loses their mind. It's not some turning point at which the hypnosis becomes strongest.

How fast it can happen is shown in the very first mission to Eden Prime. You arrive shortly after the attacks start and you're already getting attacked by Husks that were previously colonists.

The Dragon's Teeth speed up the process to make shock troops. Remember the giant spikes the geth were putting people on?

Husks are Harvester processing and Dragon's Teeth.

Indoctrination doesn't mean that an Asari is going to suddenly become a Banshee. >_>

I only brought up husks because Raltar did, but yeah, I guess I was wrong on that point. Either way, it's not beyond the realm of belief to think that sitting directly underneath one, a Reaper might be able to force some hallucinations or strong indoctrination upon you. We are still talking about the smartest things in the Galaxy, after all. If the Protheans can touch you and know your entire history, I'm pretty sure the Reapers might understand how to beam a movie into your dome.

The VI on Thessia only confirms Shepard isn't indoctrinated the whole time.

That's the picture I was looking for, couldn't find it. Rapid indoctrination is possible, so there's that.

One thing that is starting to bother me less the more I think about it, is the existence of the Creator. It's annoying that the VI has never been mentioned, but it makes sense for it to exist. Especially when you realize how intertwined the Reapers and the Citadel are. Everything revolves around it; creation of the Reapers, the relays, evolution of civilizations, return of the Reapers and now the destruction/subjugation/hybridization of the Reapers.

Also, there's an app made by someone from gametrailers with the support of Bioware explaining some of the ideas that were going into the game, but got cut for one reason or another. It pretty much puts a complete stop to the Indoctrination theory. Also, Illusive Man was going to be a final boss, but they felt having him as a boss would be too video gamey and didn't fit in with the ending of the game. Actually pretty glad this decision was made. The part with the missile trucks served as a final boss just fine. I can see it being really **** hard on insanity.

http://www.me3finalhours.com/ here's where you can get the app...$2.99, though. This thread http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic ... ex/9999272 has most of the information.

Yay for torpedoed indoctrination theory. I hated dealing with the militant ones.

You do realize that the "ME3 Final Hours" things basically proves that Bioware **** on its players intentionally?

what is the actual effect of promoting a lvl 20 character into the single player game? You get a resource bonus? I gather it resets the level of any infiltrator characters you have to level 1 (which is why I have not done so yet)
