I knew I was probably bipolar, or at least had cyclothymia, but I resisted help for the longest time. I thought it was fun and enjoyed always having lots of energy. It was a huge risk, and eventually I went far past normality and into madness. After 2 ambulances and 3 days in a psychiatric hospital, I finally caved and agreed to take medication. Fortunately my company gives me a good insurance plan.
