I own (and wear) arguably one of the best helmets made, and ARAI corsair. There was an old Bell Helmets ad that always struck home with me.

If you have a $10 head, wear a $10 helmet.

I'm torn between my desire to say, "Awesome, you got a Duc!" and my desire to say, "Why'd you buy an ugly Duc?" I'm not a big fan of Diavel stylistically or technologically speaking. I get it's pretty much the meanest production ride on the planet right now; trust me, I really get that ... but gah ... Ride-By-Wire Throttle Control ...

I'm not sure motorcycles are supposed to be that complex.

Still, you are thrilled with it and that's what matters; Congrats.

Electronic throttle control is awesome. Especially on a flatplane crank inline 4. Yamaha's YCC-T is delicious. The throttle reponse is way ahead of mechanical driven since it can be programmed to prevent throttle burst and good low end torque characteristics. Add in YCC-I variable length intake runners and you have fat bottom end and screaming top range power.

I can't imagine how stout that would be applied to a fat Duc twin. Nice riee, Aizle.

That's about 23 mph shy of the Eurospec variant isn't it?

And Raf, I ride an Indian.

Only 85 or so, I've only got 200 miles on it, so still in the break in period.

As far as I'm aware there is no real difference between the US and Euro versions. Baring the Cali emission stuff for that state. The guys on the Diavel forums are from all over, including Europe and Austrailia and they are all reporting the same top speed.

I'm guessing the top speed is wind resistance limited as it's a semi-naked bike.

I've now learned that 6k RPM (top engine RPM during break-in) in 6th gear works out to 100mph.
