I've been carrying a Samsung Galaxy 2 for work. It's not bad, just different than my iPhone. Any good free or cheap work stuff I should have?

So which do you prefer? I need a new phone and I'm due for an upgrade mid May. Iphone 4s and Samsung Galaxy 2 are the two Im currently considering.

Dash: As a GS2 user and a former 3GS user, I can say this. The Samsung (and it's android brethren) are better phones, better OS and better technology but Apple undoubtedly provides the superior experience. The integration of their device into the user experience is just more seamless.

What Rafael said. Really I think it's an personal choice. I like some of the iPhone features and way of doing things better because I'm used to them, not because they are superior. I like the larger, thinner android phone as the device itself.

The Galaxy phones have had some heat problems. Before purchasing one, you should check to make sure that's been rectified for the model you're looking at.

If you are managing grocery lists with the family, I really like "OurGroceries". Manageable from the web, sync between multiple devices, free (with ads, just like every free app). http://www.ourgroceries.com
The crackedlite app is nice for reading in the reading room.

Is it possible to get the same kind of voicemail support I have on my iPhone (where I can see play delete my messages visually)?

My phone allows me to do that, but it's via a baked-in app, so I can claim no expertise on whether you can find/buy an app to do the same, nor what it would be if you can.

VVM on android requires ICS, Google Voice or a specific application depending on your provider. The Galaxy SII doesn't support VVM out of the box.

Or try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... mail&hl=en
