Two windshields. ~$450 total. Hopefully the roof and siding is okay.

That sucks! Well not that mother nature is better than this but at least it wasn't a cinderblock like I had one year. High school kids suck!

Yeah, on the bright side, there was no malice involved. At least, none more than the universe holds for anyone.

On the dim side, I am going to need new siding. Still haven't gone up on the roof.

Hopefully you luck out on the roof. Ours had the texture completely stripped off by hail a few weeks back, and it had to be completely re-done. Thankfully, we had the vehicles in the garage and no siding so we avoided those issues, but the hail did break windows in the house. Water everywhere. I had to go home from work early because my wife was trapped in the hallway due to everyone having been in their bare feet when the window-breaking started. Thank goodness that didn't send her into labor.

On the other hand, if you have an older roof you might be able to get it replaced with insurance money rather than having to pay for it yourself.

My roof is 15 years old. I would love for some serious hail to beat the crap out of it.

That way, the insurance company pays for it.

I'm not sure any of the windows in my home even took any impact from hail. The side of the house that will require the siding has no windows on it.
