Looks like they want to try to do an for the Justice League, what the Avengers did. I only have an uncomfortable feeling they will try to shove a JL movie in, and then develop the solo hero movies.

Ok, so...yeah. DC movies.

The only property they've ever done well has been Batman. Because they seem to not know what the **** they're doing. I'm holding out hope for MAN OF STEEL, because I like Zack Snyder, but that's a long shot, given DC's track record. But DC is really, really bad at this.

Case in point: this past week, DC also announced that it was resuming work on a Wonder Woman movie. Now, fans will remember that about a year ago, they hired one Joss Whedon to write (and possibly direct) a Wonder Woman movie, which...no-brainer, right? This kind of **** is Whedon's raison d'etre. So now, returning to the Wonder Woman well, what do they do? Dust off that script by the guy who just delivered the third biggest film OF ALL TIME, a COMIC BOOK SUPERHERO MOVIE to boot?

Nooooooope, they gave the job to the guy who wrote the groundbreakingly terrible, critically-savaged, box-office-punchline GREEN LANTERN.

I liked Green Lantern, but it really can't even stand up to the worst of the Avengers solo movies.

Admit it. You all love the fact that Ryan Reynolds just got the gay.

Again my fear is that some studio exact with a hard on for the Avengers profit margin decides to force a Justice League movie and then do the solo, a very negative putting the cart before the horse. One of the main strengths of Avengers was the fact it was 5(ish) strong led in movies.

I have a hard time putting my finger on why exactly I disliked the Green Lantern movie. Maybe it was jumping right to Paralex? I don't know just did not care for it. I imagine the Justice League movie will jump right to Darkseid.

It's because it sucked. I love comic books, and comic movies. And I basically slept through green lantern. It was terrible. Zero character.

What was wrong with Green Lantern? Yes, the script was bad. About 80 different people worked on it and continued to work on it after shooting began. The first approved one had Superman in it...

The cast for GL was so wrong... Hal and everyone else in that movie should have been about ten years older, if not more.

All that being said, I enjoyed the movie. For what it was.

Yep Green Lantern was just not good. Planet OA was ok, but beyond that it was very .... lame. Using his powers to make a big hotwheels car to save someone at a wedding? I cant even remember why now.

Parallax was turned into some vague standard issue "going to destroy the universe" threat. No character to it. I also didnt like Reynolds as GL, he was too goofy.

That said, the guy who did GL also did Casino Royale which was a great flick. If he can reproduce that in the form of Wonder Woman then maybe it will work. I'd still go with Whedon though if I had a choice. I wonder if they'll do an Aquaman.
