The server I'm on (Soresu) is almost completely abandoned now. I noticed that Ebon Hawk is one of the more active servers in terms of population.

Since server transfers are coming soon, I was wondering if Ebon Hawk would be a good destination.

1. How many gladers are still playing there, and how often/what times?
2. The server is Eastern time, and I'm on the west coast playing evenings (6pm - 11pm Pacific) and weekends. Is there much activity on during these times?

I have two level 50's now (JK/Guardian and Smuggler/Scoundrel), and a Bounty Hunter not far behind. I'm looking for something to do besides grinding dailies and space missions for commendations, but finding a group to do standard flashpoints (or anything really) on my server is unpossible).

I play week day mornings for a couple hours. Like 0700 to 0900. Friday nights, most weeks I am on anywhere from 1900 to 0400. Furio is a pretty much daily player. In the past month, the most I have seen online at once is seven people.

I really want to start doing Ops and things like that but I don't want to go pug it, so if we can get more active 50's to play it would be nice.

Hmm. That reminds me. I should log on and promote Furio or something.

He is an officer now unless you plan on making him guild leader.

Considering I've not logged on in at least 3 weeks, yeah, I was going to promote him to leader since he's on the most consistently.

When I get on it's west coast too, 8.30 - 11.30pm or so. I sometimes catch Furio, Odom, Rori and his brother at the earlier times but usually I am the only guildy on later. I have a 50 trooper and a 31 gunslinger.

My server (Soresu) is an origin server, which means it will be desolate within days. The Harbinger is the destination for Soresu.

I think I'm going to hold out on Soresu with the few folks there that I know until they open paid transfers to 'any' server. At that point I'll consider transferring to The Ebon Hawk (or wherever). I still have some reservations about it being an east coast server.

They just added "The Ebon Hawk" as a destination server in the latest round of updates.

So welcome the new influx of players from "Kath Hound".

Lol. Yeah, I figured that I should get it done before my sub runs out. Not enough hours in the day, and I'm not somebody who enjoys grinding "end-game" content or dailies for gear in the best of times. If they patch in additional class quest content in the future, I suspect I may take a month to pop back in and complete that on Kyvvas, and maybe make some more progress on my Knight or BH while the sub lasts after that. Much as I suspected going into it, I enjoyed the class stories, but would have been better served if they'd been delivered to me as a single player game rather than a subscription oriented one. ;)

I've started working on my Scoundrel full time. I figured while having a bunch of DPS classes is nice, a healer would be a good fit.

Well, my level 50's have made the move from Soresu to The Harbinger.

I was going to hold out and hope/wait for paid transfers to any server to open up, but I decided to move one of my lower level (28) alts and check out the new server.

196 peope on fleet compared to 8 on Soresu.
66 pages of heavy armor on the GTN.. 1 on Soresu.
At least 40 people on every planet I checked (four or five).

That pretty much sealed it. I hated to leave some of my friends behind (hopefully they'll follow me over at some point), but I've been solo'ing 90% of the time, unable to find a group except on scheduled play nights. It will be nice to find people to run dailies with, or even jump into the occasional flashpoint.

I got there.. ran a set of dailies on my guardian. Was able to find a partner the entire time. Even managed to get the Heroic 4 man in Black Hole and get the weekly there (first time ever!). Afterwards she had enough commendations to pick up one of he Rakata implants, and finally broke 16k HP's unbuffed. She was also able to get some Grade 7 mats from the GTN and make two level 50 adrenals (Power and Armor).

All in all, a pretty good day =)

They just announced 2 more servers to be funneled into Ebon Hawk. Last night was actually fighting only Imps in WZs for the first time in a while, did Black Hole with Tally (she got her robe) and just about got my gunslinger off of Hoth.

And yeah Rae, heals would probably be good...I tried healing with my respecced commando...I'm all thumbs.

They are adding source servers to the list at a pretty frantic pace now.

I think there are four or five pointed at The Ebon Hawk now. The Harbringer, Fatman, and a couple of others are also getting more.

The've obviously increased capacity and are moving towards a model with LOTS of players on a few servers.

Fatman had almost 400 people in fleet today. Harbringer had about 300.

I have to say, it's a whole new world (galaxy?) for me?

I went home for lunch thinking I'd run a quick daily or two. Just about as soon as I zoned into Black Hole, I got invited to the four man Weekly (cts), which I have never done before (could never find a group on Soresu). Amazing. I didn't even have to LFG. The poeple were cool. Welcomed me to the server. Kicked some serious ***, collected my first six Black Hole commendations, got a new dress, and then logged off and went back to work.

Pretty cool !

Back to queues to get in and lag in the fleet, not my favourite. Having people to pug with will be nice though - although I haven't had the chance to play pick-ups. I wonder what the Rep / Imp pvp balance will be now.

I don't PvP, but from the chatter and forum talk i've seen, i think the Republic is pretty badly trouncing the Imperials on "The Harbinger"....

I am not seeing a huge influx of people during my play times. Then again, I am betting most folks who moved are high level.

I just moved from a ghost town to another server. I am already liking the change. I am west coast, so ebon hawk was not an option, or else I'd likely be there (since I am on an RP PVE server too).

As a side note, there was a guild on my last server called "True Mandalorians" and seeing all the general chat asking if people from that guild are online or not. I immediately came up with a guildname of my own, and I'd be tempted to use it were I not already in a guild. "Anyone from True Mandalorians around?" "Why yes, I am from Truman DeLoreans!"

I've noticed that time zone doesn't mean spit when choosing an MMORPG server. I am on Mountain time and when I was still playing SWTOR, I had no shortage of people to play with. Hell, when I left ORE for a raiding guild, that raiding guild was a west coast guild even.

It does if you PVP or want to maximize DPS while raiding. My ping time is 50+ ms faster playing on west coast servers as opposed to when I was playing on Ebon Hawk. Though, to only the most serious and hardcore that won't mean a whole lot.

I'm still Ebon Hawk and west coast. I do PVP in SWTOR but I do not consider myself hardcore.

I get the same ping on all of the servers I've tried, both east and west coast.

I get about 20ms on west coast. Around 70 on east.
