I can't think of a better way to piss people off and to cause a good amount of infighting. I'd leave a card with a note saying it was incredibly inappropriate to ask for a political donation.

I'm not sure how this could possibly anger or offend anyone. First of all, anyone who would be inclined to do this is the sort of person that you should have already caught the warning signs about. Secondly, a politician asking for money is like a politician taking pictures of his junk. It's entirely what you'd expect.

I just heard his next fundraising effort includes traveling through the country as a middle school bus monitor and letting kids berate him while Axelrod records it with his iPhone.
