I'm amazed at the number of full grown adults who are incapable of trying to work out their differences in private, but who instead insist on acting like squabbling kids who fight just to get attention. They resist any attempt to deal with situation unless they have an audience.

I went fishing today(nothing special about that as I go three times a week). We caught our first fish pretty early, but it was little, so we let it go. But as soon as it swam out a little bit, a huge hawk swooped down and plucked it right out of the water and flew away. Was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

On my lunchtime power walk today, I overheard this part of a woman's phone conversation:

Just called an interviewee and offered him a job. The joy and relief in his voice was infectious. Good feeling.

I much prefer reading in Hellfire as opposed to actually attempting to post there.

Trimmed the bushes in front, mulched, painted the porch, ripped up all the plants in the flower boxes, mulched more, primed 3 rooms and a hall, caulked the trim in 4 rooms, finished painting the kitchen, hall, guest room & daughter's room, Painted & hung 2 new doors and 3 old doors. Not to mention the 15 boxes the wife and I have packed. 6 Lowes trips later, why the hell is our to-do list still two pages long?

Renting FTW.

Oonagh bought me a telescoping metal backscratcher.

When Oonagh and her nails are not available to scratch that inaccessible point on my back, this backscratcher is my saving grace.
