Might be the worst baseball player in the history of the MLB...

But damn, he's funny to watch..

I have no clue what is going on here.. He was on first base (which is rare), and was apparently trying to fake a steal or something...
Spoiler:

This bizaarness happened while the team was celebrating a rare walk-off hit...

Here he is trying to mimic the grounds crew doing their 7th Inning Stretch dance..

I hope the Mariners sign him to a lifetime contract! He may be a terrible baseball player, but at least he's entertaining to watch (unlike the rest of the team).

Edited to add spoiler tags...

Here's a link to actual game video of fake steal thing, with several angles, and some reaction from the dugout...

He is definitely a unique individual, of that there is no doubt...

He's harmless (other than taking up a major league roster spot). He's obviously not an 'Eric Wedge' prototype player, so I'm pretty sure it's 'back to Japan' for him after this season...

You aren't kidding about how terrible he is. I just checked out his numbers at Baseball-Reference.com, and they're horrendous on an epic and historic level. I don't know how Wedge has justified sending this guy to the dish 83 times.

I take it you haven't looked at the rest of the roster?

9 games worth of at bats over the course of a season isn't really very many...

His WAR (-0.2) is a full point better than Chone Figgens (-1.2), who makes a helluva lot more money. It's easy to make a case for Figgins being the worst player in Baseball, which is mind boggling considering that when Seattle signed him, he was an all star, and considered one of the best.

Yeah, Figgins skill set doesn't age particularly well.

Hey, Cleveland is in town for a series. Maybe we could work something out?

What do you have in trade? A cool mascot? Perhaps a cheerleader? Maybe a couple of clubhouse attendants?

He can also play either Frankenstein or Biff from BTTF at children's parties.

I have no idea who this player is, but this is pretty funny!

The guy hitting is former Mariner Wladimir Balentien, who is currently playing in Japan.

Yu Darvish of the Rangers throws a 62 mile an hour meatball, followed by a 94 0-2 Fastball to Munenori....

Needless to say, the result wasn't good (for him)
