Oh. Memory must have reversed that.

Working the night shift, I am not able to watch the show when it airs. No big deal, I can always watch it OnDemand...

Last weeks episode is still not up for viewing, they did this **** to me with The Walking Dead too. I am ready to hurt someone.

"Waiting for what?"
"For the cancer to come back."

Yeah, Skylar is dead.

The recommendation you originally made to me was a very good one. A season pass on xbox's zune was like 20 bucks, and it allows you to watch and re-watch all episodes from the season (so far at least). So, you could get caught up even you start mid season (as far as I can tell). And every new episode that aired (on Sunday nights) was ready the next morning.

For me, 20 bucks is worth not having the headaches.

Edit: Show just keeps getting better. I am satisfied with the pace of his descent into the Dark Side. I may be amending who is going to get the ricin, now (because someone IS going to get it, that one shot made it clear).

And I loved the call-back to Mike's quote in the earlier episodes (and from the season 5 trailer), about the time bomb, the ticking, and the boom.

Feeling more and more like Walt is gonna off Skyler at this point. The chat about the watch at the end of the episode and then the sound byte right before the credits... Anyone else catch it?
Spoiler:
The last couple ticks of the watch are actually the sound of a gun cocking.

Man, what a great show.

Friggin Skylar man. I don't want her to die or anything but she is just so tough for me to feel bad for. I like that she's trying to protect her kids, and that's about it. From the very beginning they wrote her to be the type of partner I would never be with. The very first episode of season one she's condescending, obnoxious and up Walt's *** as he is busting his hump to provide for the family. Over the course of the show, Walt goes way over the line of course but I still cant help but be annoyed by her.

Skylar's long been my least-favorite character. She became much more tolerable when she wised up to what was going on, but she's never been likable to me. I think part of it is what Dash hit upon: "From the very beginning they wrote her to be the type of partner I would never be with." That may be the disconnect I have. She's well-written, in the sense that she seems like a full-fledged, real character, but that doesn't make her enjoyable to watch.

Edit: I think it doesn't help that she has no sense of humor or irony. Gus didn't have a sense of humor really either, but Gus was **** badass, so he had that to fall back upon. Skylar's got...uh...well, nothing.

I don't like Skyler's character either. And I totally expect her to get killed.

But I am also enjoying the social experiment that is this show. Skyler may be an accomplice and an infidel, but she's not "bad." She doesn't deserve to die, regardless of annoyance levels.

I suppose it would be more appropriate for me to say "I want her off the show."

I don't know that she'll get killed, but I do feel they're now backing away from her Lady Macbethian possibilities. She could have "broken bad" as well last season, but she got scared instead.

Stealing a Meth Empire would totally top shoplifting for satisfying her kleptomania...

Right from the first season episode one they had Skylar giving Walt a handie on his birthday while not even paying attention, she was online bidding for something on ebay. That scene made me cringe. She's totally emasculating to a guy who already has a thankless job at school and a second job where the boss neuters him daily too.

Then there's **** like this:

Now, of course that's not in the same league as endangering the entire family's lives like Walt has done. BUT STILL! Hard to feel bad for her.

Her motivations at this point (protecting her children, being scared of walt), are pretty understandable. However, now that she's moved from kind of annoying Walt to full on confronting him and him switching the situation from "I'm protecting my family" to "This person is making moves against me", yeah, she's dead as hell.

Skyler has never, throughout the entire show, acted like she was a loving wife. That's why people hate her. Her ***** is jacked up to 11 and it's broken.

I've been running through this show on Netflix, and almost all the way through season 3 my favorite character is Saul.

Heh. I was trying to ascertain the significance of it it too until right before the opening credits he heard the train, then I assumed the episode would have something to do with that.

Wasn't fully expecting the kid to come back into play the way he did though. Wow.

Yup, that was definitely a mind blowing moment, and really developing for the "new guy" on the team as well. He always seemed so nice and eager, and then all of a sudden... "OH ****!"
