They look like SW:TOR models, but I didn't realize the textures were that good.

Well, I found the image in a post on the http://www.reddit.com/r/swtor subreddit, but it was a direct link.

After a site specific google search, I found this link, which implies it is the swtor hilts.

This reminds me.. Why don't Lightsabers have any kind of sheath to protect the wielders hand? I would think they could re-direct a smaller or secondary beam over the hand to protect it.

One of my Clone Wars-era Jedi characters in the d20 SWRPG actually had this. Well, actually, it was a cortosis swept hilt with a sharpened outer edge (for modified, punching pommel strikes), but yeah. Originally, I was going to go with the lightsaber blade hand guard, then I decided that was silly as it would just be another way to cut your hand off. ;) Then I switched it to cortosis, justifying that it was only a little bit (since it was only the couple of filaments to form a narrow swept hilt "basket") so it wasn't outrageously rare. Only uniquely so.
