Phyllis Diller and William Windom have died ... Boy, icons from my childhood, gone. The law of three says that someone else must go, so I'm going to to call in a Harry Harrison chit. Read a lot of his stuff when I was a boy.

I know that's why I used my "he died last week" chit, sorry if I wasn't clear.

It's funny, Tony Scott just didn't register. I mean, sure, I've seen Top Gun and all that, but I could never have said, in a million years, who directed it or what else he had done. Had absolutely no clue that he's Ridley's brother. So much for my Hollywood cred.

Lots of stuff on the AM radio show today on our hometown girl Phyllis: Her talking about the building of the civic and convention center, on the proper, long "i" pronunciation of Lima, the mayor talking about the proclamation for her 90th birthday. Lots of people like to pretend they aren't from the land of nowhere (we're looking at you, Armstrong!), but not her.

And Jerry Nelson, voice of many Muppets, like the Count. He passed away this week.

Yeah, my wife is kind of bummed about that Jerry Nelson. Her favorite character.

Man on Fire, Spy Game, Domino, The Last Boy Scout, Enemy of the State...

Stuff I liked, at least.
