This one is an actual note home from my daughter's first-grade class, taken with our own camera. Read the first line carefully.

I only had to read to once to be sure it says "sex weeks".

Edit: gah, nevermind. I didn't see the original text. That was the whole point *facepalm*

At least it's at shoulder level, and not around her hips.

Ya know, it never occurred to me that it might be real - I just figured it was a prop of some sort. But, if you look at her body (and the wood panelling behind her), it could be real - photographed at close range with a really deep depth of field and a fisheye lens or something. Interesting.

Either that, or she's been eating a lot of butter with her seafood.

it's from here

This is Claude. Claude is a 15-pound Monster Tasmanian Crab recently caught off the shores of (you'll never guess!) Tasmania that was on his way to an industrial-size steamer before being bought by a British Aquarium for £3,000 (~$4,800). Claude's shell is 15-inches across and it's estimated he's large enough to make 160 crabcakes BUT WILL CONTINUE TO GROW until he's almost 30 pounds and another three inches wide. That's almost big enough to ride into battle against the sharks!
