We should be there around 5pm Eastern (hopefully). We've pre-registered, so hopefully our in-person registration will last about 20 minutes, like it did last year, rather than 20 hours, like it seemed to the year before when we were purchasing tickets at the gate.

We're going to the Abney Park (steampunk band) concert at 1:30a Friday night (Saturday morning, whatever). You guys interested?

Unfortunately my weekend will not allow me to make the run to Atlanta. I suppose I will just have to visit Kaffis on my yearly pilgrimage to Kentucky and make plans to go to that neighboring state which wants to steal our water!

DragonCon update (originally intended as an entry in the "geekiest things you've ever done on the now lost-to-the-ages 3.0):

The geekiest thing I've ever done, is given a beautiful woman a ring, hidden inside a freshly signed (by Virginia Hey!) Blu-Ray copy of "The Road Warrior."

She said "yes."

Very cool congrats you two!

And on a personal note, dang it! Wife and I were going to go this year but child care was problematic... maybe next year. Would have been nice to meet you all.

We're.. not anywhere close to sure yet. Tennessee, Ohio, these things aren't even decided yet.

Also, Damn you, Captain Tripps! Louise Fletcher is probably fine, but you have given us both the Swine Flu!

I came home, ate, and slept for three hours. I awoke and it was like a jungle inside my sheets -- I can only conclude that I've either just gotten through attempting to reject Extremis, or that I must've subconsciously channelled the One Power several times over the weekend. I will have to call to see if my beloved similarly made a cocoon under some bridge somewhere, or awaken with two extra sets of arms or not.
