He's on Letterman, he's doing fundraisers, he goes to Columbus (and mispells O-H I-O) he's doing all the local media in Cleveland.

GO CREATE A JOB, MAKE A TRADE DEAL, NEGOTIATE A TREATY, pass a **** budget, do something to improve the goddamn economy, do something freaking Presidential in the next month!! But no, he's going to talk about my sports teams. Unbelievable.

Welcome to campaign season. It's no different than any other president.

I'd almost like to see us elect a president for 8 years and only 1 term. Maybe that would:

1. Make people pay attention to who they were voting for and do some research on the candidate.
2. Prevent the current president from doing anything other than their job.

Also we need to go back to Senators being appointed.

Senators were suposed to be representatives of the State while the House was intended to be representatives of the people.

Frankly IMHO that's part of the point. 4 years (or 5 as Farsky suggested) really isn't long enough to either get much done or do much damage, consequently I don't think many people are very invested in the electoral process. If you have to deal with the results of the election for 8 years then the "penalty for failure" is greater so my hope would be that people would pay more attention during the election cycle.
