Written off after being down 0-2 in a five game series the Giants came back to beat the Cincinnati Reds, the fifth and last game of the national league divisional series match being 6-4. The Giants now advance to the National League Championship Series.

Enjoyable for us long time Giants fans.

Hah, with that win, baseball is quickly becoming irrelevant for me. At least I still have the Yankees.

I swore off of football after the Seahawks-Packers nightmare. It's gonna be a long winter.

That was one heck of a series. After about the fourth time we were at two out and two on I wasn't sure if I was laughing or crying. It's good to know we still have it in us to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Yanks oust the O's........CC was dominate.
Nats blow a 6-0 lead and fall apart in the top of the 9th with 2 outs, give up 4 runs and lose a crushing heart breaker to the Cards.

Both DC area teams booted on the same day. At least both teams got to the post season. Something new for their fan bases, in a very long time.

Last 3 WS winners are still in the running.

Each of the 4 series have been very exciting to watch.

This was an incredible week of baseball. In tonight's game, I was rooting for the Nationals, but watching that 9th inning was just awesome. Must be some male gene that makes a sports fan enjoy watching the home team's fans just get crushed. And some damn good at-bats by the Cards, wish my team had had about five more of those in two or three crucial games this year. But, that's why they're World Series champs, I guess.

The LCS games have a tough act to follow. They'll probably be a couple of 4-1 or 4-0 blowouts.

That was one of the best baseball games I've ever seen, bar none!

Now I can't wait until Sunday for the Giants/Cards game! I'm hoping for an even better game and a huge Giants win!

But...didn't Detroit win? If you are talking about who I think you are talking about, yeah I was POed at that too, however I heard (because hubby changed to movies he could watch through his eyelids, I missed the end of the game) Detroit won. Be happy, and root for your team! I hate the Yankees with a passion and would love to see a Giants Detroit World Series! Oh, by the way...GOOOO GIANTS!

Oh, wow! I didn't know Jeter broke his ankle! Here's hoping for a full recovery for him. Even so, I still hate the Yankees.

Detroit was winning 4-0...all he had to do was get three outs. All he had to do was his job. Nope, he blew it and did long term damage to the already shakey bullpen.

Last I saw (see previous post about hubby,etc) it was 4 to 2, bottom of the 9th, 1 out, 1-2 was the count. Yankees tied it up, because yeah, Detroit's pitcher screwed up. But somehow they came back and won. I hope they can continue to win, because as I've said before I HATE the Yankees. (bought and paid for, so they can always win sonsovbiscuits!)
