So nobody? I figured this would be right the TRG gamer group's alley.

I've enjoyed it so far, the online matchmaking has been more than a touch mysterious to me though.

I very much enjoy it. Much better than the first one, although some weapon types are really disappointing. I have a level 43 Siren. Playing on True Vault Hunter mode and kinda getting my butt kicked. Handsome Jack is probably one of my most favorite bad guys ever.

I'd be all over this if I still didn't have so many other games in front of this one that still need playing.

This will have to wait until X-mas or my B-day in January.

+1

I know I will play it at some point, but it's in queue.

It's fun, but for some reason or another I haven't been playing it lately. The weapons are surely much more interesting than the ones in the first, and the sense of humor is much more prominent.

My Live subscription just died, and I'm feeling burnt out on it after a friend of mine helped me fap it into oblivion.

5 10 golden keys being given away this weekend:

http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/communit ... s-incoming

Quote:
This weekend, we'll be handing out SHiFT codes that can be redeemed for a Golden Key in Borderlands 2 on the Borderlands Facebook and Gearbox Software Twitter!

We'll be posting five sets of codes across 24 hours, specifically:

Friday, October 26 - 6PM CT
Friday, October 26 - 11PM CT
Saturday, October 27 - 5AM CT
Saturday, October 27 - 11AM CT
Saturday, October 27 - 3PM CT
Each code will be active for three hours from its initial posting and will be usable once per account.

To learn more about SHiFT codes, Golden Keys and how to redeem them, visit support.gearboxsoftware.com

I've gotten 3 so far from the codes he's tweeted. Such a hassle that they've got to be entered through the game and not online.

Edit: Apparently on the forums, the community manager is saying the codes will be different between Facebook and Twitter. So check both places.

"Catch a guuuuuuuuuuuun! Yeah, I'm never doing that again."

So, I don't like how this one splits screen horizontally, whereas the last one split vertically. Anybody know how to change that? (Xbox 360 version)

Beware games with people you don't know!

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-10-29-borderlands-2-xbox-360-virus-spreading-deleting-player-saves

Very tempted to just buy the season pass. Does anyone have the DLC yet? Is it awesome?

I just hit level 50 with my siren last night, so I didn't want to start until afterward. I did most of the quests in the first zone, and it's basically just more of the same so far. The sand skiff is a neat vehicle. There are somewhat urban areas with accessible roofs, so fighting isn't quite so two-dimensional as it tends to be in vanilla. The characters are interesting. I'm only 6 or so quests in though, so I don't totally have enough to go on.

It's enjoyable though.

Single player got to be like depressingly dark when you got to the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve but I am really digging the multi-player :)

The critters once you hit level 45+ are all INSANELY buffed out the wazoo.

Yeah, that area is nuts when you're playing with people. The stalker and skag combo is hard to handle. As you approach 50, it becomes more and more necessary to have a spec that makes sense. A few of my buddies were getting their asses handed to them until they respec'ed along the lines of how they actually play.

I got a siren and two mechromancers all the way to 50. Of course there are tricks to that once you get your first character all the way there. I've had a lot of fun with this game, especially after farming the good loot to get insanely over-powered.

Edit: If you want one of the better shotguns in the game, you need to look on YouTube for how to farm the Warrior via the moonshot method. Beating the game on True Vault Hunter Mode makes your chances of a rare drop go from 70% to 5%.

Shotguns are not really my cup of tea :(

That said I have a 50 Commando spec'd out along the guerrilla trail. My playstyle has been to toss my uber badass turrent out there and then sit back and snipe headshots. Once you hit 50 though even headshots that say 151k don't do much damage overall, you need to chain off 4 of them to kill even a marauder.

I didn't really use shotguns much either. Then I saw http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/The_Bee coupled with http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Conference_Call. And then I laugh as I take down the Warrior and other bosses in seconds.

I laughed at the description for the Conference Call "Let's just ping everyone at once"

Have you taken on Terramorpheus?

Not yet, because I wanted to do it with a friend. But I know it will be laughable with that setup. I'll probably give it a try without the shield though, just to do it the respectable way.

If you guys ever need help, just let me know. Trying to do Bloodwing solo on True Vault Hunter mode REALLY sucks.

Outta curiosity, how well does the soldier play without his turret? I was pretty interested in it, but didn't see enough utility without the turret. The slow cooldown and a pet that doesn't move with you seemed kinda sucky.

Without the Turret I would be toast, literally everything would own me. However, I am specced out to maximize the turret utility, not sure if I could assign skill points to make a Commando that is viable sans big gun.

With the bee and a fire crowd control I can kill teramorphus in about three seconds. It's pretty silly...

How long did you have to farm to land a fire CC?

I killed him about 300 times without him ever dropping an orange, then I went to the bathroom and my wife killed him twice and it dropped...
