And Micheal: My first reaction was "It would be difficult to continue writing about a 10 year old game that I no longer play." But then I thought, "What if I just started writing a humorous, generic-fantasy story?" That actually sounds a bit appealing. It would unfortunately mean that I may have to go to into a little more detail with my settings, races, monsters, and surroundings. But... if Stephanie Meyer can interest people with hardly any descriptions of things like that, then I guess I can too.

I will ponder on this. My biggest fear would be that it wouldn't be nearly as good as Da Tale of Tales. Part of that story's charm was that it was written by an ogre, about an ogre. That was a freeing experience, because any flaws in the story, writing, or grammar would obviously be because it was written by a bloody ogre and nobody is going to hold them to very high standards. I am not sure I could do the same thing again. I could, but then... would I feel like I was just being a hack by copying what I had already done? Would it resonate with non EQers since it would be in a generic fantasy setting? I don't know.

The more I think about it, the more I don't think I would write it as an ogre. But I would likely make the author a little "off"; maybe as if Steven Wright were to be narrating.

I don't know. We'll see. I like the idea of writing again.
