He makes some really nice points. However he can't do the one thing we really need him to do. Maybe Mitt can't either, but I think he's got the better shot.

at the other levels that's not an issue. There isn't a far left candidate we need to defeat in order to survive.

I will probably vote for Gary Johnson, but I'm in MD. If I were in a battleground state, I would most definitely not vote for him.

I consider it all the more imperative to vote for Johnson in a battleground state. I refuse to play your silly game, two-party establishment. I reject your assertion that I must vote for the lesser evil just to vote against the other guy. I vote against both of you, and do so in a state where people actually pay attention to my vote. My vote for a third party has a significant opportunity cost, and I withhold it from both your candidates anyways.

Your vote isn't going to matter anyway. No national election has, or ever will be, won by a single vote. It's all symbolic, so you might as well make your vote a symbol you truly believe in. That's why I'm voting for Gary Johnson in my battleground state.

Well, ideology is wonderful, and all, but I prefer to base my decisions on the reality of the situation I am faced with, usually.

Yes, there is a cost to sticking to ideology. And if that cost is potentially 4 more years of Obama, the cost is too high for me.

I still regret voting for bush in 2004 difference made or not made. So it matters to me and it would matter to me that I didn't try to stop the ideology in power to the best of my ability.
