I have to credit my brother for this one, because I'm not longer very musically adventurous. But this song is just so utterly thematic for this Election Day that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share it. Spoilered for profanity.

Yeah, that's what helps determine the way I vote, too.

I was either going to vote Jill Stein or Gary Johnson, and went with Johnson as I feel he has the best chance to make an impact on the election, as insignificant as it may be. He's also much closer to my beliefs than Obama or Romney, which didn't hurt either.

It's official, I still hate the news in this country.

Fox News just called the election for President Obama. Given the information, and particularly the source, I'd say that's pretty much a lock.

CBS called it first, then Fox, CNN, NBC, and the BBC all followed suit within a minute. There's just that kind of pressure to NOT be the one who doesn't have the headline posted when all the other guys do.

There are some pretty preposterously thin margins in called states with <40% reporting, still. Doesn't mean they're called wrong, but the rush to call the election really disgusts me.

So, as of this post, per CNN, Ohio is at 79% reporting with an Obama margin of less than 1,500 votes.

I'm gonna laugh my *** off if they have to reverse this thing.

Let this resonate with Republicans:

Your old model is dead.  Your insistence on marginalizing libertarians cost your country dearly tonight.  Where do you go?

Ron Paul won tonight.

Suck it.

Talk about wishful thinking.

The margin in Florida, last I looked, is less than the votes Johnson garnered there.

I'm convinced Obama will win, but I hope Romney takes the popular vote so that I can make snide comments about recounts and stealing elections.

Talk about wishful thinking.

As it turns out Nate Silver was factual, and David Axelrod was brilliant is his examination of demographic shifts.

Hold your course and enjoy your eternal marginalization.

Very possible when the last horses to cross the finish line finally roll in, but right now, no.

Edit: well, maybe not.

It's annoying that I can't find any details about the not red or blue candidates.

I'd really like to know how many votes Johnson got in WA.

Edit: Found it.. bah.. only 1%
http://vote.wa.gov/results/current/Pres ... ident.html

That's probably the most discouraging thing about the entire election for me..

Four years ago, Obama was the first black president. Today he's just another incumbent who kept his office. That's not historic. Moreover, voter turnout is down considerably. Current tabulations show Obama as having garnered fewer votes than McCain did in 2008.

Third party candidates are pretty useless in the current system. The only thing they do is assure the most similar main candidate will lose to the other main candidate. Our current system guarantees a two party system.

Meh. Let's hurry up and get the next four years over with.
