Who gives a **** about the wall mural. It's not like someone is going to walk into the polls ready to vote Romney and switch last minute because of some paint.

/shrug It's supposed to be a neutral place. Either follow the rules or change the rules.

So now that we (Ohioans) have bilked both national parties out of roughly 500-750 Million dollars in political advertising monies we'd like to say thank you and see you in four years when we plan to be just as purple as we were this year!

Hopwin - **** you, man. Please tell your neighbors. And if you happen to be headed down to Florida anytime soon, please spread the word.

Barack Obama - President of Ohio, Florida, and some other places.

My neighbors have been AWOL for two or three weeks. As for the other one we are legally barred from talking to each other after he shot my dog with a bb gun but I tell him with my eyes everytime I see the fat piece of ****.

Um - I think you missed the point?

The point is neither candidate focused very hard on very many places.

Talking about voter intimidation...you know that episode with the three black panther party members standing outside of a polling place with batons? They got charged, but then the charges were dropped by AG Eric Holder? Well one of the three was standing outside the same polling place in the beret and combat boots, only this time as an official poll watcher.

Hey Nightfox...you should know...voter fraud doesn't happen. Just look at how many people have been caught at it. We don't need voter id laws.

I think we should sticky this thread so we can revisit it in four years.

Don't worry, the Justice Department will investigate, declare that there was no fraud, and everything will be good.

And you feel an Id system or a billboard campaign would somehow prevent this? Give me a break.

Explain to me how voter id laws would have helped in this case, if indeed it's true. If true, this would appear to be an issue with the vote oversight, not the voters.

Well, as it has been established in this thread that there is no voter fraud in the U.S., I'd say that it wouldn't help in this case, because there was obviously no fraud.

Maybe ID isn't the way to go(but it is a common sense thing). But after all this, do you at least agree that something is out of whack and some changes somewhere need to be made? Maybe all the shenanigans didn't make a difference this time around, fine. But what if they do one day? What if it happens and someone or something you completely disagree with gets voted in?

Aegnor, that isn't voter fraud. Note the word voter (singular, indicating the person voting) is important.

This example, if true, is election fraud from those managing the poling place, for which voter ID laws would do absolutely nothing to combat.

And absolutely if this is true there needs to be changes to correct and address them. I've never stated otherwise and in fact I'm pretty sure have even supported that idea. My issue has only ever been that voter ID laws are a complete waste of money and time. It's like putting a bandage on your arm when it's actually your leg that took the injury.

Clearly, despite the fact that one type of election fraud has been found to be a problem, no other kind can possibly exist!

Yeah, why are we not fingerprinting voters again? Look at all the fraud in this thread! It's just common sense.

DNA samples and dental imprints as well. In fact, the fed should enact a national biometric database of every citizen to completely eliminate voter fraud. Nobody would object to that, right?

This.. this is why this whole process seems disingenuous. The party that claims as one of their pillars, that they want to reduce gov't control over private lives....... arguing so hard for increased ability of the gov't to track individuals.
