Here's a run down (with screenshots) of some of the new features.

Oh, and DayDream (screen saver/dock utility for showing slide shows, etc...), 'gesture typing' (i.e. swype) is integrated now, and last, but not least ... multi-user profiles!

I know some people with young kids who are going to love that one!

My phone just did an over-the-air update to 4.2 last night. Thanks, T-Mobile!

I updated my phone to 4.2 yesterday morning. Neat new stuff, but I haven't gotten Daydream to work. Does that only work if you have a dock?

Check settings. It can be enabled when docked or when charging.

Haven't had time to play with it much yet... Hopefully today.

I want to get some stick time on the new keyboard.

Edit: If you go into display settings, and you can try the various modes for daydream, and manually activate them. I The photo frame and photo table are really optimized for tablets, but in the clock mode it will be replacing the generic clock app as my morning alarm.

Liking the gesture keyboard. I loved Swype, but eventually switched back to the stock Android keyboard since I preferred the way its predictive autocorrect and multiple autocorrect guesses worked. Now, I have the best of both!

One thing I prefer about Swype over the 4.2 keyboard is the ability to swipe punctuation. If I want a question mark, I can swipe from 'M' to the space bar and it inserts a question mark and a space. With the 4.2 keyboard, I have to longpress the period until the punctuation menu pops up, then I have to move to the question mark. Also, about half the time I do so, I miss because my finger is blocking the keys and I end up putting in a right parenthesis instead.

Is there any easier way to get to the commonly used punctuation marks?

im still getting familiar with the new keyboard, but so for I love it. As far as gesturing for punctuation, I'm not sure if that's possible. If you short tap the [?123], the bottom row of letters turn into common punctuation. I know that's really not as easy as a gesture. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a way to do it, but I haven't found it yet.

I did find this pretty cool video that shows a lot of the new features for both phone and tablet on 4.2.

Edit: I'm rather annoyed that my Nexus 7 hasn't received the update to 4.2 yet...

/mashes the 'Check Now' button again...

Yeah, that's my only gripe with the new keyboard so far, Moo. Swyping punctuation was nice.

LOL, I just powered off the N7, downloaded the EZ-Updater from XDA, and was about to manually update it. I accidentally hit the power button before I got it connected to my computer, so I let it boot, and lo and behold, the System Update icon was there.... /happydance

I found out that if I turn off the next word prediction (that I don't use), when I hit space, it will put the common punctuation in the word correction bar above the keyboard.

nice!

I just found the long press of the Home button opens Google Now (not sure if this is new, I just accidentally stumbled on it).

It's not new to 4.2, but it is new since 4.1.
