I had one experience with the Kansas DMV 25 years ago. It still stands out in my memory as being particularly unpleasant.

Here in Ohio it depends entirely on which office you patronize. I had a couple bad experiences in a couple large offices, then I found a small office just a few miles from home. I see them for about 15 minutes every four years for a new license.

My local DMV used to be pretty bad, before the new ATM style renewal machines. Now, it takes about 3 minutes for me to renew my license.

As for healthcare, I have almost nothing but bad to say about the current state. Having worked for a long time in healthcare, and being a life long patient with a chronic issue, I've had many problems. I've waited very long times just to get an appointment (latest was a one week wait time for my family doctor, when I had staph). Before having a family doctor, it took a month to get an appointment as a new patient.

I have fought tooth and nail with insurance companies, also. I've had them refuse to pay their portion, or any at all, denying coverage that they are responsible for because they know my only recourse is to get a lawyer or pay the whole bill myself. And with the old system, if I sued them, they would then drop me from coverage.

Just today, my wife came home and told me that one of her topical prescriptions went from $35 last month, to $105 today. Why? Because they can. Luckily, the pharmacist figured out a way to order two different medications and mix them to create what was in the original one. Total cost, $40 for both.

Not sure Obamacare is the answer, but I welcome any and all change to the current bullshit system we have.

Your situation will only get worse because of Obamacare, Sam. Contrary to what the Democrats and liberals keep telling you, ALL of the problems with American healthcare are government generated. Medicaid and Medicare are responsible for the price fixing, inflation, and exorbitant billing/insurance negotiation rates. Medicaid and Medicare regulations set the maximums insurance can pay, determine what insurance can cover, and provide all of the outs for insurance companies you guys like to ***** about. Obamacare is responsible for cash-payment discounts as doctor's office. Obamacare is responsible for the massive cluster **** of group plan renegotiation going on nationwide RIGHT now, because no one's employees can afford the minimum $9000 a year tax for decent health coverage. And, in case you're wondering how that works, almost every employer provided group plan in the country is a Cadillac Policy, because its based on total premium costs per employee, not the quality of coverage.

We also need to stop listening to liberals lie about the Catholic Church, especially over the Sandra Fluke issue, since alienating the largest healthcare provided on the planet is somewhere beyond stupid and approaching just sheer lunacy. Catholic Charities Internationals runs the majority of non-profit hospitals in this country. It also reimburses more money than the federal government for indigent and non-paying care. In fact, it pays more medical bills in a year than Obama's Whitehouse has paid through Medicaid and Medicare since he took office. In some cases, certain practices and doctor types aren't getting their Medicaid/Medicare reimbursements at ALL now, but they are still being required to provide service to those patients.

And, finally, since everyone's talking about how it's going to make life better or change things for improvements ...

The entire bill is about rationing care, limiting doctors, and artificially shrinking doctor supply in the United States. I'm sorry so many of you bought into the Obama propaganda about who caused our medical care situation in the United States; I saw the TV ads; heard the radio ads; they've been going on since March of 2009. Healthcare in the United States isn't broken; Government rationing of care and access is, has been, and will only get worse as the problem once Obama care's secondary stage takes effect in January and its complete deployment begins in 2014.

And the best part about this? He thinks he has a Mandate to keep running the country despite losing seats in the house, not have a 3 monkey Democrat dictatorship, and that everything wrong with the country is the Republican's fault. Nevermind, apparently, that the house just passed exactly the fiscal reform plan Romney/Ryan campaigned FOR (and Obama against) and then the Democrats called it an Obama victory.

So yeah, you guys keep slobbering the knob of this fraudulent demagogue who has nothing but his own self-interest in mind. He's not a President of the People; he doesn't care about the people. He cares about consolidating power. Democrats ***** about the Executive Consolidation Doctrine under Bush; Obama's gone so much further -- including order the summary execution of 2 American Citizens in his tenure. There's not a word about it ...

So, please, stop with the ****' hypocrisy; stop with taking your electoral powers seriously and get a **** clue ...

It's the government vs. us. It's the Lords and Ladies and their **** landed vassals dictating how us SERFS and SLAVES make their lives happy. Welcome to the Feudal States of America, because as George Carlin said, "It's a big **** club and you're not a god damned member."

What does the "equal pay for equal service" provision that results in the price fixing have to do with Obamacare? That's been around a long time.
