I suspect they've spent too much effort and "marketting" pitching it to the wrong crowd, though. While it looks pretty good for FPS gaming, they're a market you'll have to convince need a new peripheral. Including more Sim in the pitch would have been an easier sell for that crowd, I think. $80 is a pretty good price point for a 1-axis throttle with fewer buttons, so this is a steal, IMO, if the analog sensitivity is any good.
I'd love to have this for MechWarrior, for instance. Sure, I could probably technically get the lefty parts out and swap my T.1600 over to lefty mode, but my left hand's just never felt right on a vertical stick. Maybe if this doesn't fund (looks likely, unfortunately), I'll just get a cheap second stick and chop it apart to make a palm-down grip...
