There was definitely talking in it.

If you've never seen Les Miserables performed, you are purposefully gimping yourself. It's very well done, has a strong and moving story, and the songs are a googolplex times better than anything that hack Webber crapped out. I would recommend it (Les Mis in general, not necessarily this movie because I have yet to see it).

Eh. I saw it on Broadway and while it was entertaining, I really spent most of the musical wondering what all the fuss was about.

I guess. More that I just get tired of "OMG Les Mis is the GREATEST MUSICAL EVER!!!".

I also stumbled across this which made me laugh.

I have not seen the musicals or the movie...I did, however, read the book in high school and it was one of the best books that I have ever read.

I will definitely see this movie, although it will be at home on whichever cable channel carries it at the time. Hubby doesn't like going to the movies, although he does love movies...unless they are animated or musicals. :(

Well, Hugh Jackman went *snikt* all over a role once dominated by Colm Wilkinson (who I was also surprised to see make a cameo) and made it his and his alone.
