Finally saw this. It was worlds better than the last one, which I thought was terrible. I will say though that I thought the first hour and a half or so was a complete waste. I didn't think it was really good till the main bad guy shows up. I thought he was great, and had one of the best death scenes ever.

While I wouldn't say a complete waste, the bad guy was REALLY good, and so I definitely would've liked to see him more. I also hated quantum, it really struck me as "whiny bond mad about his dead girlfriend" movie. I liked Casino, if mainly I liked the new non-tech reliant take on the character (also liked the exploding pen nod in Skyfall). Personally can't wait for the next one, after the wonderful team-build at the end of this film.

The ending of this one was good, loved the guys facial expressions when he kills him at the end.

Take Quantum in perspective.

Compare it to Diamonds are Forever, Moonraker, Octopussy, View to a Kill, License to Kill, Tomorrow Never Dies, or Die Another Day.

It's worlds better than any of them. It wasn't BAD, it just wasn't up to the quality established in Casino Royale.

Still have yet to see QoS. Eventually I will, but the poor reviews keep putting me off.

That's a good way to put it. Casino was very strong, so while Quantum wasn't unwatchable by comparison to old bond films, it was definitely a huge misstep right out of the gate for the new Craig franchise.
