So... let me see if I understand the advice correctly.

Since Sim City is a disaster, and since EA will not refund your money, you should accept the free copy of Mass Effect 3 but, before playing it, shell out $40 for Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Yea, EA's got mad back-catalog skillz.

I never suggested purchasing them. Hint. Hint. Nudge. Nudge. Wink. Wink. Say no more.

That's also an option. I was just saying if you're going to play 3, you should play 1 and 2, because the trilogy story line is epic and worth the time.

Timing must be everything.

I bought the game a week or so after it released. Didn't have a single issue with it updating. Have had maybe 8 total minutes of not being able to play the game when I wanted to because of network/game issues. The game is running fine and is very enjoyable. And now because so many other folks have been screwed over, I get a free game. Yay me.

On that note, anyone want to do a region together or have open spots for me to join in on?

I haven't had time to play anything lately. So it's unlikely I'll be jumping into whatever I pick right away.

If you're looking for a friend NF ill start a new city with you if you tell me where.

I had a similar experience to you Nitefox, not having any problems when I started playing. But as my city got bigger, the bugs (especially in how traffic is handled) started to pile up and eventually the game decided my city was "not processing properly." Fortunately it gave me the option to roll it back to a time when it was working. Unfortunately, that time was before I even started the city, so it basically just deleted it.

But anyway, I'm still down for doing a region together. Add me on origin (Amanarian). If you guys haven't already started one I can make a Glade region.

After the third city in 16 hours of playtime to do that, I uninstalled it.

Given that it's been demonstrate that this game can be played perfectly well without being online through only a minor hack, I'd call this spokesperson as being "entirely full of ****."

My thoughts exactly. And it's not even a spokesperson! It's the goddamn president of EA. It's no wonder they're up for worst company in america in 2013 after taking the title in 2012.
