I received confirmation from the courts today and "Serina" got served. Things seem to be moving along well.

She is coming over tonight to sign the papers because she is such a loser/slackass I can't trust her to do it herself.

/edit for those of you following the soap opera that is my life I am sure that I will have a new story about getting punched/new drama tomorrow. Fortunately now that I have reconnected with friends and family it really doesn't bother me much anymore.

Well, she popped me in the mouth (again, third time is the charm) so I called the police this time to report domestic violence since the only witness was her friend.

The cops pretty much dismissed my claims so I filed a domestic violence charge against her for a previous incident that was witnessed by my neighbors. When she punched me in the mouth in front of all of them.

Let's see what they do. (will have an update for tomorrow).

Sorry to hear that Hopwin...I wouldn't expect too much to come out of the domestic violence charge in and of itself, but be sure to follow up on everything that happens with witnesses from now on and document/file charges on each without fail. The one incident is a drop in the bucket, but if you document enough drops, it's a different situation--its a pattern. Maybe not a pattern that a DA can or will use; but your attorney is not a DA, and civil proceedings are not to the same burden of proof as criminal.

Do not meet with her privately. If you must meet with her for anything, do it in a public place where there will be witnesses.

Wow as I sit here eating stuffed peppers, garlic bread, Tabasco infused potatoes, watching football with my dog it is really hard to think of any way that my life has not improved with her gone. I was worried about it, but I can't remember the last time I was so happy

Friends & family I haven't seen she showed up are crawling out the woodwork wanting to catch up and hang out.

My only regret is that I couldn't convince her to leave the coffee table. That thing really tied the room together.

Glad to hear the improved news Hopwin. Hope you can stay strong. Do not rush into anything as a follow up relationship and if you need some sort of companionship that can talk back to you... just get a Parrot.

At least then all you need to worry about is getting your fingers bit.
